I actually wrestled him in high school, lasted 2 rounds. i was pissed but i know what to expect. i actually also wrestled for his high school off season greco program. there was freestyle but im a lot better at greco. Everyone would work just as hard as him because Davidson creates machines but he would just never get gassed always moving and would just keep going after practice. i always tried to upstage everyone so basically it made me just work harder and ultimately made me a better wrestler.

I love how simple his technique is. Double, turn the corner. Sprawl and spin. Perfect body position. Everything he does is learned in the first month that a kid wrestles. Somebody should make a compilation of his matches to remind kids that it's the basic stuff that works.

i went to one of Metcalf's camps once and we went out for a 3 mile jog at 7:00 in the morning after going to bed after 11:00. He raced a really fast kid, was losing caught up and pullked the guys pants down just to win. we had 3 practices a day for 3 days straight. every practice was 2 hours long. a total of 18 hours of wrestling in 3 days. IT WAS INSANE!
