I disagree with your majority statement. The majority of people voted for Obama. There is a terrible misunderstanding that a vote for a party means a vote for every single belief of that party. Many, if not most, votes are determined by 1, 2, maybe 3 issues. Just because Obama won the election does not mean the entire country needs to embrace everything he desires. A vote for Obama is not a vote for a party, it's a vote for a man who ran on a detailed platform that we all had the resources to investigate.  If you voted for him, then you voted for his policies. Whether an individual personally saw it that way doesn't really matter. Why you would vote for one man based solely on his platform of change if you didn't agree on his explicitly outlined plans for change is beyond me.

It is extremely unlikely to agree with a presidential candidate on 100% of the issues. Let's just say I did vote for Obama. It is very possible that I agree with him on his his approach to Iraq, but disagree with him on his approach concerning illegal immigration. A vote for him simply means you prefer him over the other candidate.
