If I ever become a conductor, I'm going to make damn sure there's an annual concert glorifying video game OSTs. Pokémon, Kirby, Zelda, Mario, Final Fantasy, and Donkey Kong Country would get their own suites. There would be a retro game suite, a medley of songs from various Mario RPGs, a medley of Star Fox, Metroid, Halo, F-Zero, and Pikmin, and a medley of Fire Emblem, MOTHER, Yoshi, Wario, and Super Smash Bros. (They've got their own main themes, too)

This was kinda... eh- The beginning was wayyy too slow and Im ashamed of the clarinets, yuck. (and there was no bass clarinet so fail) Trumbones thank god made it work and there was no need at all for the violins. It was ok i guess, but no justice for kirby.

This was awesome! but ok 2 things...

First off, this music is from like every Kirby game I think even the NES original. Not just Super Smash Bros.

Secondly, I would've totally arranged the brass part differently but I'm not a composer so what do I know!

They do? In the ssbm version, I don't hear any saxophones at all. I was thinking that orchestras didn't have saxophones was because they would sound incredibly out of place in orchestral music. Unless the saxophones are given tiny, negligible parts that really aren't needed in the music.

2:07 saxs playing melody with trombones. Sax's aren't out of place we just didn't exist when all those classics were written so they aren't in a lot of orchestras, even then they can double parts for other instruments to fill in the sound.

uh depends on the orchestra. If it was a wind symphony without strings it would normally have saxes. Otherwise, you don't see them too much in modern orchestras.
