Then separate the chunk with the pick of a ratting comb and rat (back-comb) it to get it to stand up. Repeat until all your hair is standing up. Yes, it trashed your hair, but that (and dying it blue-black constantly) just made it easier to stand up.
@BurningFreesias and there are special .. irons ? polishers ? I dont know the english word, sorry :/ that frizz the hair like this. Search "fer à gaufrer" in googleimages and you'll see !
@MarchoftheMuffins True, the 1980-81 live versions are vastly superior to the LP version. It's the guitar work I think, much more "in your face" - almost Keith Levine style. I wish they had recorded this song in studio with this setup.

The Cure's first big tour was opening for the Banshees, it was the ill-fated tour where the Banshees' drummer and guitarist quit so Robert Smith (of the Cure) filled in for the rest of the tour. They also found Budgie for that tour, which seemed to work out well for them! :)

Siouxsie changed the way I looked at music in my teens; there were very few female artists out that I was interested in at the time. Siouxsie and the banshees direct me down my musical path.
Thanks so much for this video, I just keep coming back to it! One of the best songs with the band at their peak. For my money, there haven't been too many three piece bands as good as this, and McGeogh's guitar is sublime.

Severin inspired Robert to dress fncy and wear black sunglasses, and Siouxsie inspired him to tease his hair and wear make-up. Heck, Robert Smith was Siouxsie's guitarist for the bnd for a short while!^_^

The only good legit female fronted goth rock or death rock bands I know is, Inkubus Sukkubus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, 45 Graves, and Voodoo Church.

@Ispitlikeallama Should not be any surprise. Siouxsie Sioux and Steve Severin did inspire Robert Smith in the way he does his own look. Severin inspired Robert to dress fncy and wear black sunglasses, and Siouxsie inspired him to tease his hair and wear make-up. Heck, Robert Smith was Siouxsie's guitarist for the bnd for a short while!^_^

@dudebearpig05 This is great. This sounds more gloomy and spooky than modern day goth rock bands. This female vocalist sounds hypnotizing I like that. The classics is actually good. Better than some stupid ass Evanecsense. Amy is cute but she got nothing on the lead singer from Incubus Sukkubus. The only good legit female fronted goth rock or death rock bands I know is, Inkubus Sukkubus, Siouxsie & the Banshees, 45 Graves, and Voodoo Church.
