more ram, lightscribe cd bay, and a modded/overclocked gpu and cpu. and u can fix the line by only getting a new lcd screen. i bought 1 on ebay yesterday and should be expecting it. thats the only way. u cannot repair it. the cheapest one i saw on ebay was 30 somethin bucks.

I've been in a simular situation with a Car Navigation unit and they refunded me in full once they got it. They even refunded me the postage.

well actually it's lousy cause that laptop looked brand new... maybye you should have went in to a PC repair shop and check what was wrong and if repair was possible.Maybye some chips and stuff were dissconnected from wires cause of Bounicdng around in the box.

Seem like it huh. But, I was lucky and found a brand new one on eBay that was sealed and had a larger capacity hard disk for cheap than that broken one. The whole situation turn out to be in my favor.

No warranty, I ended up sending it back and I had to pay for the shipping and lost about $40 in the whole transaction. It sucked, but losing $40 was better than a broken laptop. Be careful who you buy items from on eBay!

As a student, I've seen laptops go through all manner of incidents, e.g. falling down a flight of concrete steps - still worked, just cracked up and some missing keys. Or, a post-grad student losing her thesis and her laptop to the muddy depths of the Cam - new battery and a stripdown - still worked.

It's already been solved, but I had to pay for shipping it back to the seller. Paypal instructed me to do so if I wanted a refund. I lost $30 because the seller was lazy and dishonest. That transaction sucked! Good luck with your issue with the statue.

Why is it so hard for some people who sell stuff on eBay to pack items correctly? I just today received a broken statue. All they had to do was tape the styrafoam back together to make it secure. Looks like all they had to do with your box was place padding in that area so it wouldn't bounce all over the place. The seller was just being lazy. Sorry about your laptop. I hope they work with you and replace it or give you a refund for repair work. Good luck with that.
