Man, you're really built. I'm currently working on tucked planche and I use the same hand placement as you. I find it's easier on the wrists than hands foreword. After training my forearms are really sore, as if these are the muscles that are worked the most. My question is did you develop your muscular forearms mostly from doing planche?
Yeah, I also found hands slightly wider than shoulder width with this particular hand position works well, I feel like you can get some extra power from pressing the hands together which is more dfficult at exactly shoulder width.
@speedyman290 Yeah going ok the straddle anyway is getting fairly solid. Spent a lot of time just doing tucks on rings in my warmup, seems to have helped a lot, might film one later in the week.
@Demus15 you have a pretty good hand placement, but if you ever want to progress to planche pushups, it will be impossible to do it with ur fingers pointing backwards
@MrArbitrager Wat do u think of the hand placement? I'm not sure if it's too wide? That was the main purpose of the vid, just trying to find my most comfortable way to planche
@Demus15 Yeah I think the hand placement is good, also do it on parallel bars or parallettes, makes it easier on ur wrists. I've gotta start training planche on rings properly! It just seems so hard to progress from ball flat back to straddle on rings
i want to see a fat man do this..this will give hope to the world

@olivierhat In terms of forearms I don't think so, I think forearm development comes most from ring work, rope climbs and that sort of thing.

Damn boy, you keep that up, and ur gonna grow a blood blister where your neck used to be. Joking aside, good job and keep it up.

Excellent work. I find I can't hold planche with this hand placement just yet. I need to improve upon it for rings!

Very nice looks hands back seems much more difficult than sideways or to the front how long did it take you to get till you 1st got your planche
