  • Fantastic! Thank you! ;)

  • Thanks, mate.

  • Beautiful. So simple and powerful, too. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • What font did you use for your book? I like that font..

  • Wow you are one of the best from all the videos I checked out to day thank you... xx

  • Thanks so much for this great video - really helpful - just what I needed to solve a problem I was having. I look forward to checking out your website too. Thanks!

  • nice video. helpful.

  • very easy to follow. thanks for the awesome tute.

  • I learned a lot from this tutorial. Thanks for being a great teacher! This is the most helpful one I've seen. :)

  • Awesome!!!! Thanks :)

  • i ran into the same problem that aladdin had. Specifically: I use my Header Style (Chpt-Title in my world) as the top tier TOC guideline. That style is 72pt/58leading. I change that to 14pt for the TOC for obvious reasons, but then i have Chpt-Title+ and when i try and override/redefine, it goes right back to 72pt. So i took the 14pt style and saved as TOC header. but i still had glitches ie non-interactive links ... this might be a noob para-style issue. if you can shed a lil more light tyvm ;)

  • i like this.... it's good

  • Bless you. You are an angel

  • @Myeexpert Hey Thanks !

  • well, this TOC looks kinda horrible. there’s no real way to style it properly, i suppose, because all of your edits are lost after you update your TOC.

  • @aladdinsaneprojects Umm, thats not true at all. You can style it anyway you like using paragraph and Character Styles. You don't lose anything.

  • @mchughm1 oh, what i meant was: you style your TOC, and after you update it, you lose all styles that you applied (by appying them manually, after generating the TOC) – that’s what i mean. at least that was the case the last time i tried it.

thanks for your videos btw, they are much appreciated!

  • @aladdinsaneprojects Oh I see, if you save your TOC style it will re apply tha styles when updated ,no problems, give it a test :-)

  • Awesome! Thank you!

  • @TonyTuthill No Problems.

  • Do you get this feature in previous Indesign versions? I really want to learn that program, I have to do it myself and this tips are very helpfull.

  • @Fancylooks Hey Fancy. Yes this feature has been in InDesign or Quite some time. So you should be able to use it. The only thing thats really new is the SWF output, that cam in at CS4. Have a great day!
