the only thing that makes the 7.3 better than the 6.4 and 6.7 is less shit to go wrong and years of known reliability but ill have to agree with the guy that said technology behind these newer pickups is amazing! it is a shame they have emissions but thank you after market companies that allow DELETES!!
Bad news, nothing but in the shop getting fixed and Jasper found big problems. My Matco tool dealer stops by a few Ford dealerships on his route and was told nothing but in the shop getting fixed by techs.Jasper got a hold of 6 or 7 of the 6.7 psd tearing them down finding the problems.Jasper came out with early upgrades already for the 6.7 psd.Looks Like Jasper will be remaning them.
okay wait , i don't get it, every time i test drove one of the 6.7's it always shifted at 2500 rpm even to the floor this went out to 3400 about and fell to 2500. how the hell is that happing ?

lol a governor aka "limiter" are put in the vehicle by the factory and cuts power to the engine at a certain speed. yes im assuming it does because most vehicles that i know have a governor. my 1989 Camaro with a 305 tbi limits my power at like 115 mph. and by the way im just informing you what a governor is. im not trying to start anything lol.
@spunkzilla123 You are in a DREAM WORLD! This new motor is leaps and bounds ahead....the 7.3 was great.....the tranny sucked.....there is no substitute for advancement in technology, and efficiency....better milage, more horsepower and torque, 6 spd tranny,....get with the times, bro....

@spunkzilla123 today's technology is common-rail injection, not HEUI. that's why the 6.4 and 6.7 are light years ahead of the 7.3. big displacement was key back then, but not necessarily true today with the new technologies.

@SecularTechnology 07.5 with 6.7 cummins, stock no tuner. I am 0-60 7.02 secs. (2wd Launch) little spinning. 6.53 secs (4wd launch) this is with 4.10 gearing AND a camper shell, oh and mega cab. From this video he leaves at 0:01 and hits 60 at 0:09 . so 8 seconds is a little slower than "MINE". not trying to start a war or arguement, but should'nt say this or that is faster than that or this, unless you know what you say.
@SecularTechnology lol ok.but just for chits and giggles .type this in the YT search bar and watch the first video ,Not my truck, but just to show you i am not the only one. like i said not trying to start a war over the internet, people get real brave behind a monitor, you know. note:the 4wd was a boosted launch, can't boost launch in 2wd or it'll spin through 3rd. No bullchit here man, just keep it simple, I was just puttin in my .02. I am getting too old for youtube i think. cant say nothing
Type what in YT. I'm not trying to start a war either bro, but it's just facts. The thing wont achieve 0-60 in under 7, even if the spedometer reads that.
@SecularTechnology Like is said, I dunno. maybe ecm flash differences.... A while back the dodge mechanic told me as I was pulling off from getting my oil change ( 5 free btw ) that there was a engine/transmission control flash that he updated on my truck and that I would not be disapointed with the change. at first it was jerky, normal i guess till the ecm learns driving habits, then it started clearing up, and I def. had a different truck on my hands, smoother shifting points and no turbo lag.
@SecularTechnology i dunno, I am went from a 2003 6.0, needed an upgrade, scared about the first year of ford making thier own engine, so went with the cummins. I am still partial to Ford, but i am waiting for the kinks to be worked out on the 6.7 ps , new things always have kinks.. lol..
Nice, my '08 is doing 0-60 in 5.67. (4x4 launch though). I'm sure with the new gearing and higher stock HP & torque it will be faster. I'm sure the dodge is nice too, but I like my ford.
Jrowe6... Faggots not knowing what the fuck they're talking about need to shut the fuck up!! When a volcano errupts it spews out MORE toxic gasses into the atmosphere than All the vehicles in the world, since the first car was ever invented have ever produced. This is a fact, you can look it up. Sooo... YOU should think of someone other than yourself before you open that cocksucker next time
@jrowe6 Sorry but I took the DPF off my 6.7 Cummins. I get about 5 MPG's better then stock. All I care about is my cash in my wallet, not about your lungs or some ice caps melting.
@mifan93 i think you need to do your research then, son. you believe doing a EGR system delete does not pay off? i can tell you it certainly would've saved my 6.0L ford. had to trade that vehicle in for a real truck.
@cummins17 i did get a real truck. got a ram 3500 6.7 cummins. 6 speed auto, 4.10 gearing. i've already towed my bobcat on my 14' dump goose neck trailer. Tows so much better! plenty of power. The truck still has to work, but nothing like my ford. my ford would just shit itself. i had to buy a bullydog chip for it.
@MWSBD Your prayer is answered. Ford mentioned in a video that they designed the engine to go well over 200,000 miles without hardly any problems at all, making it the most reliable diesel used in a Ford truck.
Oh man I cant wait for you guys to work your magic on the 6.7L PSD. Stock it is WAY to quite and has WAY to much performance killing emissions crap on it! Pilot injections gotta go!
This is about the same as my 07 f-250 but I have it superchipped

@james92y
The stock 6.7 Cummins 0-60 time is not 7.02 that's completely false. let alone 6.53. Yeah even with a 4:10 rear end.
Learn from the Silverado, they have a 0-60 in 8.2 with the heavy duty, and it has 110 more Lb.-Ft and 50 more Hp and the 6.7 Cummins.
If you're spedometor read that time, you seriously need to get it checked because that's WRONG. Sorry buddy.
My Sierra I drive for work has a 4:10 rear end and it gets late 8's.
You're 650 Lb.-Ft would be out in the cold.

Maybe you's is just getting torque to the wheels better than Truckin'.
I had a Jerkey Explorer, it had 200 thou miles and a stock transmission it WAY over torqued the rear wheels and I was a bat outta hell off the line.
