any one who is taking the class 2 test take your time and dont feel like you have to rush you will be fine. I passed my class 2 lgv oct 12 it was a lot of money. Now my employer is going to put me though my class 1 so i cant wait woop woop.
cost me a fortune then when a did pass i carnt get a job anywhere havent got any experiance so how do people with experiance get it in the first place
@RadarNoRaczej I am thinking about getting a loan out at 18 so I can get my licences. I can't even find a job right now to fund my car licence let alone my HGV. Is it a wise idea?
@MrFaulconbridge Don't take a loan. Try find job first and make money for training and all tests. If you under 21, You cannot work as a lorry driver. You can have a licence but no one will hire You, so better is find some job, do all category's one by one, there's no rush ;)
@RadarNoRaczej Okay thanks. Not even a van courier driving job under 21? I just don't want to be stuck in a warehouse or something for 3 years. I'd rather be out on the road.
@MrFaulconbridge Hehe I was stuck in warehouse for 3 years, literally. As for a courier job, I think you could do that, but it all depends on if someone will be willing to hire you, 'cause they always want some experience, or just have a licence for 3 years. If you gonna stuck in warehouse, do a FLT licence. I always talking to myself when I was unloading lorry's: "Soon You be driving them". It's a natural order of things.
@RadarNoRaczej Okay thanks man! I will keep searching for a job every day. Hopefully I can get in a warehouse. I wouldn't mind driving a forklift actually for 3 years or so, seems like fun!
@RadarNoRaczej hi got a question the driver cpc do you have to complete it before you can drive a lgv because one agancy says i can because its not out till 2014 and other says i carnt because he says i need it now or i carnt use my licence
@rocksygti the law says - every new driver have to complete drivers cpc course, the existing drivers have to complete drivers cpc within 5 years time, which that period ends in 2014
I can tell you it aint so bad, you've got to learn for test, it's multiplechoice test 50 question, you've got like 1 day training and practical exam. I'm a Polish and i manage to pass all test in english, so for you it should be piece of cake ;)
