  • Is this the original 1982 version?

  • @iheartpeta1 Yes

  • 3:19-3:26 "Go ahead, run your little legs off - Do you have NIKEs for all of them?" >> LOL! This is awesome!!! ;-)

Long live all the games that founded the art of gaming!!! 80's rule!!!

  • Rick Hinkle is the only redeeming factor of this song. Rick "Slipp" forever!

  • The solo is far too good for Buckner and Garcia .

  • @Homibeef Indeed a very good solo!

  • Every gamer needs to own this album.

  • "The spiders can't help you now!"

  • Don't try hiding behind the mushrooms... I see you.... OO Centipede you can't run away.

Ah had this on while I played centipede.

  • so intense!

  • This song is creepy...

  • I HAD THIS LP AND TOOK IT TO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL (they would like you take a record in and play one song from it that you picked over the pa system)

  • This song sucks monkey nuts

  • ode to a human centipede.

  • Had this album when I was a kid. This was always my favorite track.

  • OMG! My favorite game and I actually had this album on cassette!!!! Oh... memories!!!

  • This was my favorite song on the album. Even at age 9 or 10 I could tell when a song really was "art". This was art. They really put together a helluva tune here.

  • Best Line:

"Go ahead, run your little legs off....do you have Nike's for all of 'em?"

  • I got a score of 999,999 on Centipede!

  • I didn't hear this song until about 2002. But I was an avid, if unskilled, 8 year old video game player when Centipede was my favorite game. After school I'd vaccuum, take out the trash or collect all the dirty glasses from beside my dad's chair (he had a habit of hiding them!) and put them in the sink. And my mom would pay me when she got home by walking me across the parking lot to Open Pantry, which had Galaga and Centipede back-to-back by the front door. I usually earned 2 games!

  • I need a cetipede! I'm holdin out for a centipede in the night!

he's gotten be hard and he's gotta be strong and he's gotta be ready to fight!!!

  • Do you have Nikes for all those feet!?

    Haha CHAT!

  • you cant mess up such great original songs they r many peoples memories of the 80's... Good songs r forever and shouldnt b messed with.. if they wanted to put it out the should have brought it out in its orginal glory...... :)

  • I wish I still had this Record. I heared the CD came out but it was changed andnot like the original version.

  • Oh gosh he is going to rape Centipede isnt he?

  • AWESOME!!!

  • Man i have this album on vinyl. very good

  • I got this album when I was a little kid back in the 80s and I still have it today. I also have played all these video games when I was a kid too. Pac Man fever was like my anthem. "I got a pocket full of quarters and I'm headed to the arcade". That was me. I do miss going to the arcades. These days you'll be lucky if you find an arcade to go to. One of my favorite places when I was a kid to play these games was at the Chuck E Cheese's in Philadelphia. Pizza and video games!!!!

  • im thinking about getting this cd

  • I love this song it was a fun game back in day

  • Centipede you can,t run away I am coming to get you.

  • has anyone heard the cover? LAMB OF GOD FTW

  • Other than the cheesy talking parts, this is the crowning music of awesome from this album.

  • i lol'd. this is comically bad. 5 stars

  • Awesome, it's the LP version, not the CD version. Excellent.

  • thanks SO MUCH POOP

  • I mean this song

  • This is classic than a 1988 Volvo 240 GLT estate

  • So sweet man. my childhood is reborn

  • It sounds so sad to me, for some reason...'The spiders are your only friends', 'you can't run away', 'you can't hide', 'I'm coming to get you', 'Here I come'...

Love the song, though. It's just beautiful.

  • Ya' know I'm following in the footsteps of Buckner and Garcia's footsteps and I'm making a song about Mappy!

  • 1:47 i like that keyboard drum and spark-shooting magic wand trio

  • i like it how buckner and garcia use videogame sfx on their music!!!!

  • @ransman413 you can say that again

  • At 2:30-2:44 you can tell the guitar solo is vastly superior on this LP version to the truncated amature CD version (the original session guitarist was unavailable for the re-pressing). Also, when the lyrics, "The Spiders are his only friends" is sung, it is a 5th higher than the CD version. Love those analog keyboards. A+ version!

  • The LP version is far superior since the CD version was re-done due to lost partial-tracks. Luckily, this is the LP version.

  • @mikecronis , Yeah I heared the CD version was not good they changed to much of it. which sucks the LP version is better if you happen to still have it or find it.

  • sounds kinda like "separate ways" by journey

  • @jasinjoaquin you're not the only one who's noticed that. I'm pretty amazed it sounds just like Separate Ways, and AFAIK this song came out before the Journey one did!

  • I used to have this album when I was 14.. I used to listen to it all the time..

  • @todd3tb I was the same age when I got it and like you, I listened to it all the time. I had mine on 33rpm LP and wore it out!

  • @silicon212 I had the 33 album also, I used to live in the arcade.. All the money I got from cutting lawns, I would ride into town on my moped and spend it on video games..

  • Thanks for posting, I listened to this so much as a kid.
