Have you ever played a brass horn? A sax is a wood instrument.
I once played a trombone in elementary school, in music class, as it was passed around.
I just blew it and slid the moving part, but I did not know how to play a tune to it. They are loud.

Your rusty music is a success. If your sax is rusty then it gives a unique sound, which is yours.
