  • It's so sad that this film is no longer for sale. It's great stuff. I have pictures that my mom took over 30 years ago that still look great. It was fun, convenient and fun!

Technological advances are good but they kill off other good things. Bring it back!

  • i purchased a navy blue polaroid camera for $5.00 and it had film in it but it doesn't work what should i do?

  • i loved the deep voice

  • Hi I have a Kodak colourbourst 100 that i absolutly love. but as you should know polaroid sued kodak and now any kodak instamatic film you may find, expired 30 years ago. Is there any polaroid or Fujifilm film that will work in it? BTW it uses "Kodak instamatic PR144-10 Film" Please try and help me ...........My second Query is that i have a polaroid colapsable SX-70 land camera and i want to know what the cheapest brand of film is and where can i get it?

    Thankyou for your help Declan

  • @MrDstankovich SAdly, there is no film for any of the Kodak instant cameras. (Google Polaroid vs Kodak to read the big story about the Kodak infringement case.) There is only one brand of new, fresh film made for Polaroid SX-70 and 600 cameras. Google "The Impossible Project."

  • Another way to test cameras that you pickup is to put the black slide back into the empty pack so that you can test whether it actually ejects the film.

  • I love the Polaroid, it was so simple to use and I shot thousands of pictures with it. which are still in perfect condition in my photo album, everyone is so gravitated towards digital these days but if the world does have a pole shift or someone use's a EMP device in war, all our digital photo's will be gone forever, but my Polaroid's will still be safe in their album lol.

I still have my camera and will never sell it, not for any price.

    Polaroid rocks.

  • @katiemilker They will be gone forever if you haven't protected them, but if you print them out then you are good to go. Any type of electronic media even if not subjected to some sort of EMP type device, will eventually fail which sucks, I know I've had it happen several times, and it will generally always be when you were trying to back up the data.

I love the old Polaroid Camera just find it comical that the film costs more than the camera.

  • I am now surfing on your page (impossible-project) and I don't know what film to choose. I have a Polaroid 600 Land Camera Autofocus 640. what film is better for this model?

  • @kesykess Hi. Visit The Impossible Project. You want PX-600 (bw film) or PX680 (color film). Enjoy shooting!

  • @FilmPhotographyTube thank you! :D

  • I have actually had an experience with expired film. In my friends basement her mother found an old(ish) Polaroid and there was film it in because the light came on. We got parental approval to shoot it and out shot a little picture. We thought it was ruined because the chemicals had dripped a little to the bottom so we stopped shooting. Ten minutes later we went to go throw the picture away and there she was! this film was from the 80's so the fact that it worked made us laugh.

  • I found a black polaroid 600 with a rainbow on it for $3 at goodwill, found a pink one at the same goodwill that had a carrying case to match for $3 more dollars.

  • @SHOTGUNSRULE its 6 bucks, take the risk!

  • Oh and B&H sells some Polaroid film types.New.

  • is there any way of pressing the shutter then the picture not being taken for a few seconds? as in does the one step camera have any kind of self timer function or is the picture always taken instantly? really useful video, thanks x

  • Polaroid 667 is BW instant film for Polaroid 100 series "pack cameras."

Cameras that use this film...See this vids: "How to use a Polaroid Colorpack Camera " and "Polaroid Land 100 Series Camera - Comprehensive Crash Course "

  • hi I found a place thats selling new instant film by fujifilm but its called 667 instant. which polaroid models uses this type of film or is the name for the ISO or ASA of the film pack.

    thank you

  • hello, i want to buy a polaroid. can you help me which one to buy, i don't want it to be too expensive pleaseee please help me!! i want to buy one for a long time but now i decided that i really will please help!! :))

  • Great job Michael! Enjoy ur blog as well...

  • Sounds like the film is unusable. Open it up and check it out. Discard if any sign of chemical leak.

  • I still have some out of date film as I bought quite a bit before it went out of production. I thought I used it all one being 09/09 and another being 05/09 however the packaging feels bloated. The boxes feel like a meat box does when it starts giving off gas? Is this possible, or is it just the way they where packaged. Is there any health risks from out of date film? Its been stored in the back of a cuboard.

  • nice video; "here in Jersey"... whereabouts are you in Jersey? I live in the Pkwy exit 105 area :)

  • @mserebreny Film Photography Podcast is in North Jersey (just north of Wayne, NJ)

  • @FilmPhotographyTube would you guys by any chance try to make polaroid film roll packs?

  • Thank you so much. This video is very helpful

  • Joe is cute:)

  • Hey, I have a quick question.

I bought a Polaroid Spectra System Camera at a yardsale, and there is a empty film-thing in it. If I take it out and then put it back in there is no sound or no lamp turning on.

Is the camera working? Or is it just the battery that is dead in the old film?

  • Ahh I should've watched this before I bought anything on Ebay.
