  • I had seen thousand of dancing Apsara at Ankor Wat in Siemreap, but now It is the great time to see lively dancing Apsara. So wonderful !!

  • "Khmer classical dance, as seen today, developed from, or was at least HIGHLY INFLUENCED by, SIAMESE CLASSICAL DANCE innovations during the 19th century and precedent forms of Cambodian dance were different from the present form.[12] According to Brandon, the lakhon nai of Siam was the main influence on Cambodian court dance in the 1800s." in Wikipedia: Royal Ballet of Cambodia

  • @piemsak2530

Don’t tell me crab about wikipedia that anyone can write what they wanted.

No one can beat UNESCO already listing ROYAL BALLET OF CAMBODIA AS WORLD HERITAGE because Cambodia dance is origin. Thai can’t make anyone believing their culture because they keep changing many ID from Tai to Siam and from Siam to Thai if Thai go to the police station telling of their many differences ID they will get arrested by the police.

  • @piemsak2530 How do you know this? Anna Leona whom the King Monghurt hired to teach royal family members to become more westernized mentioned that someone at the royal palace was translating Khmer epic into Thai. This translation even continued into the mid 1900s because Sarit Tanarat( Thai prime ministe) His father was Khmer ethnic and he translated Khmer epics into Thai. Today you can see Khmer ancient artifacts all over Thailand. Siam adopted Khmer culture.

  • soft n slow but strong :)

  • This is beautiful! I love being Cambodian!!!!

  • @jakenetch I agree with your, i realy don't like to see khmer and thai use bad word to argue each other it dosn't look nice to show the world, what ever in the past was not our young generation mistake please try to make relation with each other. Khmer- Thai- Lao almost the same blood.

  • We Khmer accepted, that the Ramayana story came from India. But Thai did not know about this story so well as Thai always believed.

Today Thai King also did a great mistake by asking the former Indian president about the story, because Thai felt that Ramayana belongs to Thai and not from India and not belongs to the Indian people.

  • @TheChandhi

Ramayana brought to Cambodia by the Khmer Kings origin Indian and called Ream Ke. Thai are thieves and got caught stealing Khmer culture and got caught stealing Khmer Preah Vihear just watch video Preah VIhear created by Thai on my channel.

  • @dekchaiplawan

Translation: Thai thieves got caught stealing Khmer culture and got caught stealing Khmer temples.

  • It K. H. M. E. R. Dance for sure;))

  • It is a new chorography, it is not a Thai style.

  • the singers are horrible

  • i love this dance i keep watch it 4 nearly 100 times.thank you 4 sharing

  • No I mean no offense but thai style of dancing and Khmer style of dancing is really different. It's hard to explain...

  • ระบำ เทวศรีสวรรค์

  • This is a relatively new dance actually modeled after the carvings of Bayon. It kinda has a Thai style of dancing to it. Beuatifulllll

  • @Krittayot95

    Thai style is Khmer style.

Thailand was Khmer land and Khmer already created Khmer style in Khmer land so Thai just copied Khmer from Khmer. After Bayon, we Khmer have Long Vek, Odong, Chatokmok and Phnom Penh. Siam was destroyed completely by Burma in the 17th and Thai just born in 1939 after Thai losing to WWII. We Khmer introduced this dance to Europe in 1906 way before 1939 the date of Thai born.

  • @KhmerSpirit

    For your record,

Thai was temporarily conquered by Burmese, not more than 50 years. But Khmer was colonized by Siam for more than 400 years. All Khmer kings in the past must be approved by Siam kings before officially crowned.

Many princes & princess of Khmer had their education from Siamese royal court, including Court Music, which was later nowaday Khmer classical music.

  • @KhmerSpirit

The authentic & classical Khmer people & kingdom was included nowaday some part of Siam people, which consists of many races. After Khmer empire fell down and Ayuthaya kingdom arised, some of your ancester's artworks were inherited & developed by Siam people into new style.

These kind of artworks were inherited by Siamese and Khmer royalties inside Siamese court for centuries.

  • @KhmerSpirit

What I want to say is..

What we , Thai & Khmer people , had done for centuries were EXCHANGED & PRESERVED our own culture, The Southeast asian (Mon-Khmer-Siam) culture.

    NOT TAKEN OVER each other.

  • @jakenetch // Thank you very much Mr/Miss Jakenetch. I'm Thai and I'm totally agreed with your comment.

We both exchange and preserve our cultures. Above all, as you said, we should not blame each other and should bear in mind that WE SHARES SOME IDENTITYS.

  • @jakenetch

Don’t tell me crab about Siam that not existed anymore. Let talk about the world education that exited today such as UNESCO claiming Royal Ballet of Cambodia as a master piece over thousand years and listing as a world heritage since 2003 and everyone must respect WORLD HERITAGE included Thai the new people created in the 19th century.

She is not only a dancer but also an intellectual and a young leader for the hope of Cambodian Culture. I saw her performance in the US and Rome for about 7 years a go.
