I don't know what it is that warms me about this clip. Perhaps it's because so much of his work is about the contradictory nature of human contact, how close we become and then how easily and quickly we are broken and broken apart. And to see a writer of such dark (and gorgeous) things plainly and honestly happy is comforting to me as well.
Sorry to flood this with comments. I never responded to your compliment about my writing. Thanks very much, I'm flattered. I'm Brendan, by the way, hello.
I always thought Kos got a bad rap. What I always enjoyed about his novels were the stories, not the prose they were told in. He was basically a storyteller who apparently relied on ghost writers to make his stories marketable. No shame in that.
But he didn't, actually, if you face the real proof behind the allegations. Everyone today is keen on saying he clearly had a "Jerzy workshop", but the complete lack of real evidence combined with the very singular voice prevalent throughout works of different times makes it seem impossible to me. I don't particularly care, because a great piece of writing is what it is, but I would bet a great deal, even my life, that the man was genuine.

How many more "holocaust" writers have to be exposed as total liars before the ignorant masses finally wake up to the fact that it is all brainwashing by the jew-controlled Allies of WWII. Already exposed as hoaxers are Jerzy Kosinski, Binjamin Wilkomirski, Misha DeFonseca, Herman Rosenblatt, the "Anne Frank Diary", Michael Chabon , Laura Grabowski and Elie Wiesel. Get a clue people.
How many more videos whose subject involves geniuses will you post on, as some loser who doesn't have his own task in life, attempting to take down those who have actually done something with theirs? How many more!!! We can only conjecture.
This is nice. r.i.p. Mr. Kosinski.
