For all of you saying Firefox is a memory hog, test this out yourself. Open firefox, one clean tab, homepage idc how many addons you have. Open IE after. Check task manager, and you'll see FF takes more memory. Now, try the same thing, but with 3 tabs each. FF takes little more memory, while IE TRIPLES its memory in the form of 3 DIFFERENT PROCESSES. WHY? IT'S ONE BROWSER, WHY ARE THERE 3 PROCESSES??? Firefox clearly does memory better than IE. As for Opera and Safari, idk. Never tried 'em.

Actually, Firefox has the worst memory management in Linux/Unix, and the best on Windows.

Also, Opera can be affected by trojan horses. As can firefox, internet explorer, safari, and *EVERY* browser. YOU have to download a trojan and run it, in order for it to cause damage.

A browser cannot defend against this(An antivirus however, can)

This is just crazy. It's not unusial for Firefox videos to go aganest IE, but a Firefox being aganset Opera? That's toalty unusial. None of the other videos are like that. Allthrough FF fanboys call Opera a "spyware magnet". IE7 improved securty, and Opera is one of the most secure browsers in the world.

dude, whats wrong with you. Safari is actually a fairly good browser, same with Opera. Firefox is my personal browser of choice because of a few extensions. I mean all of those browsers I listed support web standards, are secure, and except for Opera, are or are based off of open source.

This is true. However, it is intentional. I don't remember the technical stuff right now but basically it caches the stuff you already viewed per tab. So say you went to wikipedia, searched for X and then searched for Y, then if you wanted to hit the back button to go back to the article on X it doesn't have to reload because it is already saved to memory. Now if you have 10 tabs open...it does that per tab which effectively will use a lot of memory.
