  • Right now I am shell shocked. My heart is racing because my fans were going at 1500 RPMs before I turned this on, and about 2 seconds after I started this baby up, the fans went up to 4000 RPMs and were really, really REALLY LOUD!

I am still shaking, and I can't believe this awesome progeram.

  • my dosent work it does not have a lot of things to change?

  • great you have the only helpfull movie on youtbe

  • Lol i have a laptop and I turned the PWM reverse logic to on now when its on 0% the fan runs at 100

  • Thx

  • it doesnt show that pwm stuff when i look at my "main chip" it only shows temperature offset and 6 different fan things, nothing else

  • I have menual PWM control, termal cruise, fan speed cruise and smart fan III

    witch one???

i have been trying something, but it doesn't works

  • its not working . ? help !!!!!!!!!! im on laptop compaq q71

  • wtf it goes back to smartguardian????

  • Thanks for posting this video. I did not have the option for software control so I used manual instead. My fan suddenly turned off! Haha...

  • SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME WHEN I CLICKED CONTROL IN SOFTWARE AND THE FANS IN MY COMPUTER KICKED INTO FULL

  • anyone else have this problem? after a few minutes of playing a pc game, if its minecraft, portal 2, or anything, the game starts to freeze up to about 2 framespersecond. the sound also freezes up, and so do the menues when i try to quit. when i come back later, its ok, but then freezes up again even sooner then it did last time. I assumed it was the fan, but it still happens. any ideas?

  • i dont have pwm mode :S

  • i don't find my ''Software conrolled'' please help!!!

  • @robinbrandt What options do you have on that drop down list?

  • @1nDrumMajor I have the same issue as robinbrandt. In the drop down list, the one with the most options is SB 7xx/8xx PM2 etc... but theres nothing about changing it to software enabled

  • @yourass117 some computers don't have "Software Controlled", it's usually something similar though, like "manual" or "user" or something like that. *Not all computers have the ability for users to control speeds. If you can't find it, just look around your chip settings within the advanced tab.

  • HELP. itsd not changing the fans? any help??

  • Thanks!

  • ive done all uve said to do and my fans still arent doing what i want them to. is there any way u can help?

  • @musicismylife0481 Are you using a laptop?

  • @1nDrumMajor no but i managed to figure it out

  • i can't find my pmw! im running a first gen i3 processor in a hp g7 laptop. help! i really want to speed up my fans! every video i watch says to go to advanced tab, but i can only choose three things from the drop down menu, and there's none that has a lot of options, especially pmw. help!

  • @Alex050796 i have the same problem D:

did u find anything yet? coz its like 1 month ago lol

  • @MrArne97 It just depend on the kind of PC you have. Is it a laptop? or is it an OEM desktop? OEM machines tend to stricken the end user options because of various different reasons. Don't worry though, you can always have workarounds and you won't be limited to what the OEM provides you. Maybe a hardware based fan controller, or if you want, a customized PC, or at least upgrade your MB.

  • @1nDrumMajor i have a HP pavilion desktop, all stock except the ram (4GB) and the zotak GT geforce 430 video card..... help ?

  • I have PMW logic.....

  • Will this harm my PC? because i tried it and my fan went like woooow so i rest it

  • @Zapperlord5583 Actually, this is based on Pulse Width Modulation. So when you raise it to 100%, your fans will run as fast as its maximum rated speed. You'll always be at 12v so there is no overvolting and you will not burn out your fans. When you change speeds, you change how often it turns on and off the 12v current. This is done rapidly, so you won't notice, other than the speed. Hope this helps. :)

  • Why are your fan speeds soooo low?

  • @Zapperlord5583 My fan speeds are low because the computer is generally idle, and that's how I programmed it. It also doesn't make a lot of noise. It can be loud if I set it high.

  • @1nDrumMajor I don't have anything that has that many options. The highest I have is 3 with tempetaure 1 and 2

  • @ZehPhoenix Are you using a laptop? Laptops will usually tend to have very little options. Same thing with OEM desktops. Not all laptops/OEM desks will have all the features, but there are ways around that. ;)

  • on the PWM on the advanced options I only have the PWN logic 1,2 and 3 that can turn to on only , I dont have the PWN mode , how do you get the pwm mode ?

  • @BrandonLeeXD1 Can you send me a picture snapshot of your settings in speed fan? Or perhaps a speedfan itself and your settings? Thanks!

  • @1nDrumMajor i've got a intel core i3 processor laptop hp, when i go to advanced it gives me the options to scroll through my hardrive, intel core and ACPI, when i go through each one of these options there are nothing in regards to Pwn Logic, it just states tempature 1 and tempature 2 offset with the value at 0

  • @ImOlderThanGranny Can you send me a screenshot of your options? And what chips can it find? Look through all of your chips on the Chips dropdown and If you don't find PWM, chances are, you might not be able to activate fan speed control, or it could have been already activated. Try changing the speeds, if you don't hear any differences, then your fan speeds are probably "hard-locked", as in: the OEM (in this case, HP) doesn't let you change the speeds. This is common for most laptops...

  • @ImOlderThanGranny ... It's easier to do it on a Desktop, especially if it's a custom built PC.

  • @ImOlderThanGranny Sorry that I didn't answer your comment, I was busy. Anyway, just know that some computers don't have a lot of diag. features. It's usually because the computer is old, or it's a laptop. Usually, OEM computers (like HP, Dell), won't give you much options. If you can replace your motherboard (if your machine is a desktop), you should have more features because aftermarket parts will obviously give you the luxury of customizing your settings.

  • @BrandonLeeXD1 By the way, do your fans connect by way of the 3-pin fan connector? Maybe your motherboard just doesn't support fan control. But don't worry. There are hardware-based fan controllers (such as the NZXT fan controller) that will fit in a 5.25" drive bay and they will almost all the time be able to control your fan speeds. There are some videos reviews if you go look it up.
