everyone needs to read this again. the car was far too rusted for me to restore. it was a daily driver. i didn't have the time and resources to cut MOST of the body part and weld in new panels while driving it every day. there was rust in the header panel, lower valance, both doors, both doglegs, rear quarters, my trunk looked like swiss cheese, and the supports in the trunk were completly gone. the front end was removed so i could try to replace the subframe. it was in a wreck at some point
@Ls3guy , o jesus fucking christ. your right, i obviously could cut my rear quarter panels off while it was a daily driver. not only that, i could also cut off the dog legs, and cut out the entire trunk. o, and the floor board too while, it was a d.d. seriously, no. no one can cut out and replace an entire floor and have the car driving on the road again in 2 days. with no welding equipment. and if you don't understand that, that means you can't do that on a weekend.

it was a 3 year old crate engine. the napa mechanical fuel pump's diaphram blew out and gas went into the oil.so it had blow by, but other then that engine was good and strong.yea, i actually bought that spectre modular air intake, but it never was put on.
was there anything wrong with the motor or was it just the unibody? The motor looked better with a regular air cleaner on it I don't like the looks of those edel brock covers that look like screens.

Front wheels and tires just to small all way around. Fill the wheel wells, but if you want the wide tires, mini tubs my friend. Dont stick'em out to throw rocks on the car beside you. torque Thrust and BFG radial t/a's and you'd have the nicest ride around.
you can easily changed from a full nose to a split you just need to dish out about 400 or 500 to get the bumperettes or do what i did and just evenly cut the full nose and cap the ends of it...check my camaro out bro type this in the search box and let me know what you think..."sarah smokin"

as the proud owner of a 75, I must say the 74 is way more popular then the 75-76. at least 74 you could get a Z28. the 74-77's really were the low point though. I was thinking the same thing about the "slit" bumper.

try Baldwin Motion,.. the Starsky and Hutch Torino's stripe was more like a 73-74 roadrunner stripe that went over the roofline instead of straight back to the tailpan. that is a simple question to answer. first, yes they were the same car. second, the standard,Z28, and SS models were all full bumper. It was only when you purchased the R.S. option that you recieved the split bumpers, and parking lights in between the grill and the head lights. so if you had an R.S./SS you had the SS car, with the R.S. front end. all the other models had the parking lights below the bumper. this is true for camaro years 1970-1973.

You know i have come to realize that the little Homelites can go fast and in some cases can go faster than some of our beloved 70s muscle cars but who cares? I would rather be in a Buick GSX that may not be as fast as a super charged Hyundai any day. (BTW I love the Camaro too I have driven a 70 that a friend had and loved it)

yeah.. I've raced beaten turbo civics with my 1981 chevrolet corvette ( a car with a 350v8 that only had 190hp) And every time I've won, there was always some lame ass excuse of why the civic lost.. Now I've swapped that 190hp 350 for a 400hp 454, I added two weeber 4bbl carbs and I'm telling you, civics don't stand a single chance, hell I've even beaten Toyota supras and mazda Rx7's with my big block corvette. whatever year bumble bee from the movie was doesnt matter. that is one of the ugliest year camaro ever built. this paint scheme of yellow with black stripes started with the first gen camaro. i didnt come up with bumble bee,someone called it that my first year it was painted,2002.WAY before that movie came out. not trying to nit pick, but i thought i'd share my 2 cents.

it was a 3 year old crate engine. the napa mechanical fuel pump's diaphram blew out and gas went into the oil.so it had blow by, but other then that engine was good and strong.yea, i actually bought that spectre modular air intake, but it never was put on.

Are you on the east coast? Mid west and west cost folks don't know what rust is. Then they talk like they know shit. Body work when there's just a few things to do and you don't have the right equipment to do the body repair (or for that matter the under body) work, can cost more then a crate engine. Apparently people don't understand that.

Not so sure about that statement.
I live at a high elevation, and it rains CONSTANTLY.
And with my car, there was a whole lot of body work.
2 rocker panels, floor, firewall (was cut up pretty bad from previeious owner) a quarter panel, and not to mention a chop top.
I did everything myself.
Most in oregon do know how to fix things, mostly because they cant afford the places around here.

gorgeous car, alot better then the yellow. Got to love the Baldwin motion paint scheme. But change the wheels and ties. Rear tires, to short and wide. Front wheels and tires just to small all way around. Fill the wheel wells, but if you want the wide tires, mini tubs my friend. Dont stick'em out to throw rocks on the car beside you. torque Thrust and BFG radial t/a's and you'd have the nicest ride around.

you can easily changed from a full nose to a split you just need to dish out about 400 or 500 to get the bumperettes or do what i did and just evenly cut the full nose and cap the ends of it...check my camaro out bro type this in the search box and let me know what you think..."sarah smokin"

I really don't know much, but i have torn allot of vehicals apart, not saying that i put them all back together, but that one, would have only needed a sanding, and a paint job at most.... shoulda sold it, and bought a shit car to destroy, tho i suppose it wouldent have come apart as easy as that poor car did.

NO 1974 camaro will ever be worth 50 grand. that is one of the most least popular camaros because of the looks and power restrictions. and the full bumper/SPLIT, not slit bumper, stopped in 73. so way to piece together a piece of shit. so, maybe next time you should have the "pruff" to back up what you say. kevin.
p.s.- you may want to pick a fight about early second gen camaros with someone else.

as the proud owner of a 75, I must say the 74 is way more popular then the 75-76. at least 74 you could get a Z28. the 74-77's really were the low point though. I was thinking the same thing about the "slit" bumper.
Loved your car though, hard to see any camaro disassembled.

first off, I sold it to my mechanic. second, learn how to use punctuation. I didn't post photos of all the rust. There was NO trunk, or trunk supports. there was rust in the roof, rust through the floor, and firewall. it was a daily driver and i could not afford to replace all of the parts and cut and weld to RUST. so before you go and say i killed the camaro, i sold it to my mechanic who is restoring it for his wife. i tried for 6 years to finish this car. but i couldn't.

try Baldwin Motion,.. the Starsky and Hutch Torino's stripe was more like a 73-74 roadrunner stripe that went over the roofline instead of straight back to the tailpan. Baldwin Motion was a well known dealership in New York that with the early help of Dick Harrell started modifying Camaros (and other Chevys) with Corvette 427's that led to the treasured COPO cars. Together Baldwin, Yenko, and Nickey created some of the most legendary Chevys ever produced.

that is a simple question to answer. first, yes they were the same car. second, the standard,Z28, and SS models were all full bumper. It was only when you purchased the R.S. option that you recieved the split bumpers, and parking lights in between the grill and the head lights. so if you had an R.S./SS you had the SS car, with the R.S. front end. all the other models had the parking lights below the bumper. this is true for camaro years 1970-1973.
