I'm kind of glad they killed Glen. He may have been one of the "good guys" but he was a snarky douchebag. He looks like a kindly old grandfather but the whole time he mouths off like a smartass punk kid.
It's funny at first in this scene he seems like a nice guy despite killing that cockroach. I do love villains that act kind at first meeting but are true evil monsters in reality. Like my main man Aizen.
It's a great series, but there is one thing that they did not play by, and that's that the people of Vegas were pretty much the same as the Boulder people, and the Santa Monica detective in the book was a rather pleasant person who objected to the men hitting Larry, Glen and Ralph. Other than that, pretty much accurate.
This movie is almost a depicts exactly why satan "lucifer" got kicked out of heaven. He wanted to be God. By him asking the older gentlemen to get on his knees and ask to be set free, he is trying to enforce the fact that he is God. He became ferious with the old man when he laughed at him. That proved that satan is nothing more than just an evil spirit pretending to be God himself...
@OriginalSShadow I'm pretty sure he was just joking cuz everyone else died of the superflu, Besides what adverage person can tell the difference in a world with like 2 doctors?
prettylady673, I have some additional news: millions upon millions of people died similar deaths as Jesus and the Disciples. They were not the only ones. I don't know why some people like to dwell on this one person.
reading the book i could see others actors like mickey rourke, michael madsen, george clooney, or kevin spacey playing lloyd. clooney because of his role in from dusk till dawn makes me think he could play a good hood and kevin spacey from his roles in seven, the usual suspects, etc.
I just realized that wile serving God they died violent deaths much like Jesus and his Disciples. But at the same time, God is so awesome! Look at what was accomplished! Both here in this movie and today. Jesus Christ died the most horrible death. Yet He was ressurected & now we can be saved because of what he had to go through (persacution and sufferiing), take on (the sin of the world), be resurrected from and have power over death, hell and the grave. I'll tell ya. God is awesome!
Can any one please tell me the song name if there is one of the soft piano solo playing at 6:40 when mother abigail wakes Stu i've never heard any thing like it before. It is so beautiful.

The "war" scene was very weak. I remember watching this film, and thinking the opening scene (for part 8) was a big let down, after watching for almost 4 nights. This was nothing more than police brutality. I thought there was going to be a battle between good and evil. This scene really sucked!!!!
@Mythtern1 I know right...Ray Walston was so great in that this was one of his last roles...he will be missed...my favorite martian never failed to entertain..here is just splendid..especially when he is laughing at Flagg...a truly great scene.

I was thinking though, the only character who doesn't change is Frannie. She's the same from beginning to end, don't you think?
