Get an amp. Better yet, get a "mini-pa" if you want to match the volume, transient respond and

the real sound of those drum kits Roland sampled. Use the MIDI and your computer, maybe just to give you more drum options...however far you want to go.

At the very least buy something like a Behringer keyboard amp or splurge and get a Peavey...

  • Question, how did you record the Rolands sounds exacly?..i need direction as to how to record the Rolands sounds or if i ever need to, use other programs library like BFD for other sounds.

But if you could tell me how you record the kit.( also i have M-Audio as the device and have 2 midi cables.) Thanks.

  • Is the PM01 personal monitor like an amp ?

  • @225dantheman yes, only its tuned to sound good with a roland kit where a guitar amp would sound awful.

  • how can I plug this into an amp?

  • @christopher106 with a 1/4" guitar cable

  • @guj2510 No sir, you can plug headphones right into the unit. Roland also has the PM01 personal monitor that works perfectly for this. Or even a set of computer speakers.
