I like most of Owen Wilson's movies and in any case I wouldn't take a shot at someone who's already so disappointed with his own life that he attempts suicide. I say go after the shit actors and comedians who don't think for a second that they are shit actors and comedians... like Carlos Mencia.

he's so much darker and less innocent doing stand-up then doing whose line. Making fun of someone who has gone through serious emotional trouble and tried to take their own life is too far in my opinion, but I still love Greg. I completely understand how people could laugh at this, its just not me.

He wasn't really saying that Owen Wilson trying to kill himself was funny, he was saying his films are crap and that the attempted suicide was a waste of time!

Greg can take a serious situation and make it funny! that is why he is so great!

Yeah Owen has done a lot of shit movies, but let's not forget that he co-wrote and produced Bottlerocket, Rushmore, and The Royal Tenenbaums. Greg Proops has never and will never write anything that approaches these. I think it's ok to lambast someone because of their bad movies, but suicide jokes are a bit mean spirited.

I think Greg was just speaking about how his suicide attempt wasn't much of an attempt. Of course, Owen was on drugs at the time. I don't think he meant to say anything against suicide, just Owen Wilson. But the thing about Greg is, he really doesn't care whether people like him or not, he expresses his opinions and what not through comedy and I love him for it. At least he says out loud what some people think. I'm not one of those people who think that, but I am just saying I understand.

i havent seen much of his stand up, but i have to stick up for proops. he was always great on whose line (both the US and UK versions) and i've seen many hysterical interviews. i believe he's at his best when he improvs. he's VERY quick. i'm sorry, i can't believe you said chappelle. greg could eat chappelle for breakfast.
