Must've been '63. My mother took me up to Bergenline Avenue in Union City NJ. Across the street from a record store, "Record City" I think it was called, set up on the sidewalk in front of a local department store was a young black kid behind a drum kit. I was about 7. He was wearing a white short sleeved dress shirt, black slacks and sun glasses. Must have been promoting a new album. It was Stevie Wonder.
