  • As great a visonary that Berry Gordy was,by allowing the Jackson 5 to leave

(they became the Jacksons for Epic Records).Specifically, allowing Michael

Jackson to leave, and rejecting the demos from Prince,Madonna, and the

Red Hot Chili Peppers,he gambled away the future of Motown.

  • @AnnaAnnaYes

  • the best of all time hands down no competition

  • 超かっこいい! スティービーの中でベスト!!!

  • @yu3yu3yu3 You know,I wassaying the samething today. What a coincidence!

  • Listening to this I am a teenager all over again in my bedroom listening to the raido and clapping my hands and grooving to Stevie,,,, but just as quickly as the songs tempo changes the reality of the years that have passed hit me,,,, and silence overwhelms me.

  • Great record.!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Only Stevie can get away with changing the tempo like this. I don't know what made him choose to do it, but it's genius :) What CAN'T he do?

  • This is the absolute greatest artist of all time, to me. Every moment of every record is planned out impeccably, the musicians are all top notch, and the songs are just infectiously excellent. Great hooks, great lines, great lyrics... oh Stevie, we need more like you today.

  • 9 people found out that they really didn't love them o.O

  • Long live motown hate rap crap racist garbage noise at least this music has heart not evil racist crap

  • They play this song all the time on the radio at work. Good ol' Walgreens radio lol LOVE IT

  • @MrSexxxy20 they play it all the time @ the kmart i work at too lol

  • @justlikeiroc24 LOL really?

  • Classic music from the legendary Stevie Wonder!

  • if you really want to learn the difference between the music then and now, check out the story of Motown. Holland Dozier Holland, Smokie Robinson, Stevie Wonder, George Clinton, Marvin Gaye, Ashford & Simpson, These people wrote songs, they had a beginning a middle and an end. they weren't 10-20 seconds of sample looped on top of a week bass. 3 bars of backup singers on loop with lyrics that sound like they were written in a fast food line or the bathroom at Mcdonald's.

  • I love this song!! People always look at me weird when i name older classics like this as my favorite songs, but idc! just because its popular, that doesnt mean that younger people should only listen to the kind of crappy music of today! well its kind of crappy compared to music like this (:

  • Nine dislikes? Whats wrong with people?

  • @TheSot100 A lot if there are no likes on this song.

  • @TheSot100 They forgot that "thumbs-down" means "dislike"

  • @TheSot100 NO! WE'VE GONE INTO THE DOUBLE DIGITS OF DISLIKES! D:

  • @TheSot100 I mean really! They are nutsssssssssss!

  • @TheSot100 they are sick, demented, and deaf fools. They matter not.

  • @TheSot100 For real...11 people must be hard of hearing if they disliked this vid ♥♥

  • @TheSot100 12 dislikes??? These people are ignorant. Period.

  • @TheSot100 My thing is if they dislike it, then don't view it. That's so ridiculous, not to mention childish.

  • @speakwhnspkn2 The thing is, Stevie Wonder is a classic that wil forever be loved by almost everyone who hears his music! People who dont like him just dont have a good taste in music. People dont have to like him, but if they just go out of thier way to dislike a song like this it just really irritates me. People need to grow up.

  • This is one of those songs thats painfully good!! Love it!!

  • 9 people need to go play in traffic because this is real music right here. I'm only 24 and absolutely in love with the music before I was thought of. The crap today has nothing compared to the oldies.

  • why is this song in my head???.....well i aint even mad.

  • 9 people must like justin bieber or some crap. smh

  • What's not to love Stevie?

  • This is one of my favourite songs of all time! I found it hard not to smile when listening to it. Brilliant.

  • Yes baby i really love you!!thnx johnnywalkerWonderful song..oooooooooh so sweet.

  • ...this is Stevie leaning towards his future by drumming on record and using a keyboard bass.

And, Syreeta's harmony parts are powerfully sweet !

  • Invigorating!!!

  • The rubato sections are so cool. They sound like a jazz trio, with the upright bass and acoustic piano. I wonder who's playing bass on this cut.

  • I'm going to hear this live tonight by the man himself!!!!

  • @alvaskins in dubai i assume?

you are so lucky. he's brillaint live

  • this kind of music will never be brought back that is why the music is called classic and the artist legends!

  • Must've been '63. My mother took me up to Bergenline Avenue in Union City NJ. Across the street from a record store, "Record City" I think it was called, set up on the sidewalk in front of a local department store was a young black kid behind a drum kit. I was about 7. He was wearing a white short sleeved dress shirt, black slacks and sun glasses. Must have been promoting a new album. It was Stevie Wonder. I had no idea what I was seeing. 48 years later, I realize I witnessed a genius emerging.

  • The verse is so jazzy so classy, so beautiful!

  • what memories!.....reminds me back during my jr high school days!

  • Love this song reminds me growing up in San Antonio, Texas. Wonderful memories.

  • pure unadulterated genius. RIP Syreeta

  • Mr Wonder's music//talent is so unique and recognizable - There is no one like him - Lionel and Michael are [were] truly great but they realize/realized what this man has meant to music - He is one of kind - , Thanks for the great upload!

  • 7 people don't know how to love

  • great song

  • wow.. I am pretty mazed by older music (I am 20) ...

nowdasy it.. really sucks.. aside from metal and hard rock, the general music has really become very bad.

I'm just sayin, so you old farts don't think noone understands you :P

  • if you really love me

  • Hearing this song takes me straight back to that golden Camelot era known as Motown. If you were there, there's a feeling lurking within you that doesn't translate into words whenever you hear one of those songs. You had to have been there. Wow, I feel so blessed.

  • Damn, this song is so good! I hear it and I just feel every bit of it. So short, so simple, and yet the depth it conveys is something that "artists" today only dream of. The fast tempo often lead one to think of this song as a bit happy, but the lyrics clearly demonstrate a man in a situation that is all to familiar for those of us who have loved and waited, and then loved and lost. Excellent Stevie, simply EXCELLENT.

  • PEOPLE!!! listen to spoke too soon by moose!! it has the same chorus!! good song!!

  • Stevie Wonder gives me hope for humanity, and that someday the world will live in peace.

  • A friend of mine just gave me 2 bags full of all kinds of cool late '60's/early '70's reel-to-reel tapes, and this album was one of them. I can't wait to listen to them. I love the sound of reel-to-reels.

  • @gangtwanger reel to reel sound is great - Hope you have a nice unit --The Sony TC -280 is a great no frills unitt [Ferrite heads] with terrific sound[just in case you ever look for another unit or need a spare] Enjoy those tapes- They were special- Blew cassettes and 8 tracks away!

  • Love this song. This is what I define as real music! Good lyrics, actual singing talent, real instruments, and uplifting (not degrading like a lot of the new music)

  • This guy's a genius...

  • to Robin Spence100 on YT. if you wanted to get to know me, you would have stayed in my corner, and start A WHOLE NEW BEGINNING. we all made decisions that we don't like. if i could with the snap of a finger, i would make things right.

sit and talk with me, how can i make what we wanted to be.

i know you thought/saw the goodness in me. when my darkest moments, had come out of me. none of it was ever to be, i had no control, of that part of me.

  • Great song

  • Stevie came home to Detroit for a concert a few years back. You want to see love and pride in the faces of African Americans......there was a lot of it that day when Stevie walked onto the stage. A million years from now his music will still be played.

  • The verse to chorus structure of this song is beautiful in its contrasts.

  • This is one song that automatically puts you in a good mood...

  • Dito..131ack0ut

  • Steve Wonder = Sheer Genius!!!!!!

  • stevie wonder (and all of motown) makes all this pop stuff look like shit.

  • The horns, piano, drums and the clear sound of the hand claps are so classic of the Motown sound. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh real music.......... how pleasing!

  • Wow!!

  • i cant believe only a couple of people rated this

  • Dude, then I won't have to be hangin around >:(

  • I love this song so much! I have to listen to this like everyday twice a day. I guess you can say it's my prescription from Stevie Wonder, MD. : D LOL!!

  • Words can't describe how awesome this song is. Perfection.

  • This song sounds a bit ahead of its time...sounding late 70-ish even though it's from 1971.

  • gotta love that brass section!

  • Such a great song. Nobody could ever cover this song and do it any justice at all. What an incredible talent!

  • thats a question normally asked

  • that.s a question most frenguently asked

  • Wooo, love this too. :D

  • If you really love a person, you should tell them, if not you all should get on with life. You can't love a person if they don't let you love them!!

  • @131ack0ut

lol there's still good music out there. don't be such a grandpa. many of us still try to create music with the same soul and energy as was done here.

  • @alliant lol yeah I realize that now. It's just that I prefer the classics because, in my opinion, they sound better. My apologies if I sounded so harsh. =)

  • i really...really... really love you stevie

  • this is my song!!!!!! yessssss

  • Classic track!!

  • @Mr00112287 Cant argue with that!

  • No, I knew his brother Calvin, we were all very young. Stevie was a rough little guy, he would give you a piece of his mind if you made him angry...Thank God he gave us much more, he gave us his music.

  • I remember stevie from the neighbor hood 23rd & Buchanan Detriot,MI , he was just a young kid then, had'nt recorded his first song with Motown yet. He really surprised us all, what a great talent. Thanx for the post.

  • @susej1able Did you know him? That's pretty cool.

  • @johnniewalker23 Thanks for uploading this album! I've been trying to find it for years and can't. The one I did find was outrageously priced and I was going to buy it but someone beat me to the punch. It's a true gem.

  • it is really good!!! I LOVE IT!!!!!! <3

  • @susej1able Wow! What a treasure to have known Stevie way back then - I would love to hear about your childhood in Buchanan, Detroit and your memories of Stevie - I'm a great fan of his! Diane (Manchester, England)

  • @susej1able

I'm a great fan of Stevie's and I'm really impressed that you grew with him in the same neighbourhood! I'd love to hear about the place you lived and your memories of Stevie. Diane (Manchester, UK)

  • @susej1able did he dance in the street with michael jackson like his song suggests?

  • @susej1able what a great story, Stevie is one of the greatest ever

  • @susej1able Yeah, I met Dr. Martin Luther King in 1962 in Memphis, Tennessee. I walkin' down the street minding my own business, just walking on. Feelin' good. I walk around the corner, a man walk up, hit me in my chest, right. I fall on the ground, right. And I look up and it's Dr. Martin Luther King. I said 'Dr. King?' and he said 'Ooops, I thought you were some body else.

  • Real music!

  • Lovin this!

  • I sure wish this song was longer.
