hi michelle im planning to make a castle cake for my twins and im just wondering how did u make the top part of the castle,do u have a mold to make the pattern..
@monicag37 The thin tubing of fondant around the base of the castle will hold them in place - it will dry overnight and it is enough - I also push them into the fondant on the cake board when I put them in position.
By the way Michelle, can you make a video of how you store your cake tools and how you put everything in place.. Like a how to organize vid.. That would be a great vid I'd love watching that..
It's already on my list of videos to do!! I was thinking of showing my favourite tools etc because I do have a lot but I always end up using the same ones over and over again.
The columns are just new construction pipes for water which I cut to size wash then coat with a thin layer of food gel to adhere the fondant. The tops are cones of thick cardboard and this case fondant hearts are layered to cover. I hope that makes sense. Thanks for watching. Bye for now, Michelle
wow thats great detail....awesome work..i think im gonna be ordering my cakes from you from now on..although i do live in Hawaii, So that may be a problem.. but what an AMAZING job :)

@sanchybraren All I did on this castle cake was to cut out fondant hearts and layer them to cover the turret.
