You say you're in the business, you must have an office job where you never see the actual hunt. Seals bleed like stuck pigs, and the clubbers often don't even want to do it, so they hold back out of remorse, which makes their blows shaky, weak, and ineffective in doing anything but torturing the animal. And that is a natural human response, a reason to end it, not a signal to get bigger assholes/psyhcos to do the hunting. Nobody can kill and animal like this and be a whole person afterwards.

These countries are the same who practice intensive farming. Save the seal my ass! Why not save the veal. The seal population is very healthy. Many of the northern communities have only this resource to exchange against goods. It is a rich and nutritious meat and nothing can beat the sealskin to keep you warm and dry.

The seal hunt does exist. I never said otherwise. They do not hunt BABY seals/seal pups/white coats.
Many do know a hakapik is used but still spread the myth that they are bludgeoned to death, like in this video and the staged photo it references. They try to convince people it is some kind of sick sport, that they kill them just because they can.
They don't enjoy the job, but it is necessary. This animals reproduce rapidly and consume massive amounts of food, like aquatic rats.

if it has been illegal for the last 25 years, they arent doing a very good job at maintaining the law are they.
i study animal welfare as one of my main subjects at college and i get shown videos like this all the time.

Oh, didn't know about that did you? Tell me, are you one of the lucky "elite" Brits that is able to afford to angle salmon. It's the sole reason they kill seals in your country. What is it it costs to fish salmon over there....remind me.....1,000 pounds a day ? And, oh yes, isn't salmon angling a true sport.

The hunt here is the most tightly controled hunt in the World and it has been forbidden to take white coats for 25yrs Why don't you turn your attention to the problem of disappearing sea ice. That's what will "do in" the seals and us in the end. If you really care about this do some checking about the ice

Firstly, i go to an animal college, and i study animal welfare... like i said before if you bothered to read it... stuff like this is what i do my assignments on... so yeah, i do know what im talking about :)
Secondly, is thier seriously any need to be so fucking BURTAL about it? no i dont think so... they could kill them more hunaimly like shooting them or giving them a leithal injection... but no! these sick bastards would rather bash their brains out with a stick...yeah GOOD ONE!

Hey everyone, this guy is taking a course at a second rate college and he does his assignments! Lets ignore all the graduated vets who say the hunt is humane and all the scientists with PHDs who say it is necessary because this person obviously knows better. Well at least that makes him more qualified than PETA or Sea Shepherd...

I'm guessing you're part of the industry? Do you have pets? How would you feel if they were clubbed to death? White coat seals or not, what difference does that make? We'll never agree on this issue because I have a conscience.
Anyone who can club a seal to death or hurt an animal is capable of doing the same to humans. These people are known as sociopaths. Serious hunters kill for food. You're essentially a whore who would do anything for money.
