I'm coming to the end of my L'art Du Son cleaning fluid and looking for a cheaper alternative, I'm happy to use isopropyl alcohol and distilled water but I've seen that on the net a couple of drops of photographic wetting agent is recommended as well. There isn't any shops that sell that around here and I don't really want to be paying £10 off that net for the sake of a couple of drops, could I use a small amount of washing up liquid or similar ?
If you see closely at the right moment when the guy gets the vinyl out, the label is already broken.. maybe broken in other tests.. but this is a completely fail demonstration :D
I got one of these off ebay. Brilliant! I just use a little hot soapy water rinse and wipe and let dry. The brushes run straight down by the wheels grooves, and really get the records clean.
The spindle thing keeps the centers bone dry. I did about 100 45's today and they sound so much better. Cheap to buy second hand and very well designed. Not tried the antistatic fluid, but will keep you posted.
These things suck;-)

the Knosti fluid leaves a sticky residue on the records - a mixture of Isopropyl alchohol and de-ionised water is much better ...
