  • i have to agree with you all

we used to lisen to nthe radio a little north of sigon

in the earley to mid 60's

i think he sound better later in life

  • real country singer great voice

  • Everyone who cares this song is on the Saginaw Michigan Album from 1964 I believe. Other than the title track, there are other good songs on that album. Like, WHAT GOOD DID YOU GET OUT OF BREAKING MY HEART, THERE'S NO FOOD IN THIS HOUSE, IT MEANT GOODBYE TO ME (WHEN SHE SAID HELLO TO HIM, THROUGH THE EYES OF A FOOL, I WAS COMING HOME TO YOU, DON'T LET HER SEE ME CRY, all classic Lefty Frizzell.

  • this is real country singer not that trash from cmt.

  • flashbell...looking for another rarity from lefty.....it's titled "the marriage bit" from the late 60s.....or if you know where I can find it, I would appreciate it. thank you and thank for for this post.......

  • Lefty,THE MAN,real music lives on

  • wow was just a few months old when this was out

  • recorded 21 October 1963.The pianist is Floyd Cramer.

  • Great

  • Nobody could deliver a song like Lefty.

I visited his gravesite a few years ago.

    Live on King Lefty!

  • This is Lovely

  • Is this the great Floyd Cramer on piano? Much of Lefty's best material wasn't released as singles and this is an example. Shame on his producers.

  • This is new to me, but it sounds so good!

    5*****

  • Do you know what year this was recorded? The song is wonderful, by a great singer, but it sure reminds me of "She Thinks I Still Care" by George Jones. I know this is a particular "Genre" of a certain Country Music era, but, boy, this is close!

  • We have a book that lists all charted country singles from 1944 ~ 1993 and this is not listed. It must have been an album filler. I would guess it was recorded mid-60s because during that time Lefty had a completely different sound (better in my opinion), then his early recordings he made for Columbia.

  • This was on the original Saginaw Michigan album!

Great album to me the best he ever did.

  • @flashbell It was recorded 1964

  • @cbl2718 i was thinking the same thing!

  • Great song! Thanks kindly, for posting this! :c)

Best wishes for health and happiness!

  • I've been a Lefty fan for years and never heard this song until a few days ago when I was in a traditional music store. I got out to my car, turned around, went back in and bought it. This is Lefty exemplified.

  • @flashbell You have done a great job with Lefty's songs......Thank you.
