its really dependent on how much you text using each one. The buttons on a curve don't care whether ur fingers are big or small which is quite the advantage over the iphone. To be honest it looks like you typed slower on the blackberry on purpose....

i typed it in 15 seconds on my treo 700wx which has smaller keys than both the curve and iphone. And i have manly hands. The first time I typed was 18 seconds, but the second time was much faster. I guess the longer you are accustomed to a device the easier it is for someone to use.

Yep you typed it faster on the iPhone. I really dont have that much of an issue with the virtual keyboard on the iPhone. Sending a couple hundred texts a day (yeah I know I need to get a life), you just get used to it. It took about 10 seconds for me to type the text you did.
And ICK to the threaded texting on the Curve...doesn't even compare to the iPhone. Even just in general, the BB doesnt' compare to the eye candy the iPhone has. The BlackBerry 9000 is looking like it might change that.

i have the iphone and am thinking of getting the curve but this guy seems to b so excited about the iphone, not that theres nything wrong with it i was 2 when i got it, that hees downplaying the curve i have problems sometimes on the iphone and when i tried out the curve i did as well it all comes down to what suits u flat keybord or a protruding one

I have both iPhone and blackberry and i am a Apple person all the way but i like my blackberry alot better.

I've had both phones and there is NO way the iPhone is a better texting/communications platform. Multimedia, it beats the Curve hands down, but as a communications device, the BB pwns all.

That guy is seriously slow with the curve, I dont wanna bash anyone but I dont even own this phone my dad does and I can type pretty damn fast on it. I HATE the iPhone for texting Im constantly hitting the wrong letters messing up the entire message.

for me its a lot better for me when i can type on buttons i can feel. sometimes i type without looking at the phone with the curve. on the touch it was impossible. plus the curve is more for business. the iphone is more for fun. for fun i have the archos 605. it beats all ipods.

I totally disagree with this review. Unless you have cucumbers for fingers any human can type with the curve; one of the greatest blackberry ever made (so far)

I agree with you weenend i search the review for the new curve and great response on the curve that i was looking for that is why i got one for myself nothing can not compare with the new curve is hot, smart, better than any other phone out there.

i typed it in 15 seconds on my treo 700wx which has smaller keys than both the curve and iphone. And i have manly hands. The first time I typed was 18 seconds, but the second time was much faster. I guess the longer you are accustomed to a device the easier it is for someone to use.

You still type fast as hell, when I had the iPhone, I could never type with my thumbs. I was the pointer finger typer.

Ha! He said he has the hands of a small female! LOL, I went from using a blackjack to the iPhone and noticed a difference in the speed but honestly if your using one phone more than the other to text your going to be naturally faster.... (kudos to you and your "make believe" keypad!)

Yep you typed it faster on the iPhone. I really dont have that much of an issue with the virtual keyboard on the iPhone. Sending a couple hundred texts a day (yeah I know I need to get a life), you just get used to it. It took about 10 seconds for me to type the text you did.
And ICK to the threaded texting on the Curve...doesn't even compare to the iPhone. Even just in general, the BB doesnt' compare to the eye candy the iPhone has. The BlackBerry 9000 is looking like it might change that.
