Just wondering, but at 1:21 to 1:48, I see you're hitting the bell with the point of your stick. I always thought you were supposed to hit it with the shaft of the stick. Is this just your preference?
@smithcory5 Pretty much a preference thing. Although some drummers prefer to use the shaft or shoulder of the stick to get more "meat" from the bell, I think the tip gives you more control. If you have a good quality ride, the sound of the bell should cut through.
To bad I never saw the Steve Smith drumsolo being coverd he played in 1981. The drum solo he played while he was in journey. Don't like the band, but that drum solo was amazing. But this is a really good cover :D
@gallupi1965 Hey man! I've watched almost all your cover, but this one was insanely impressive! I was wondering what pattern you were playing on the bell of the ride?
i have a request can u play spirit of radio and can u watch my bass cover for this song? thanks great cover btw and who cares if u made a mistake u know how hard this song is?
Man id like to see you jamming with a live audience in Rio with a super talented bass and guitar player just driving those brazilians nuts with your mad skills. Finally someone on you tube that plays with technique and control. knowledge of time/meter change etc. SICK!!!
The first video of yours I watched was the cover of Green Day's "Give Me Novacaine". I was thinking "Yeah, but let's see you cover YYZ". But you just did, so I'll be quiet now...
For the next or a different song would you do rush subdivisons. still this a great covers you do keep it up man.
