Every mmo challenging WoW burned 3-6 months after release or heck even at release because of bugs and horrible in game problems. I hope the claims of this game will be fulfilled.

Imo i think this will be one of those games that will be really hiped for a few months or until it comes out, then when it comes out be a complete failure, change to f2p and thrive their like spellborn (i think thats what it was called?)

The story line is amazing and makes since and it stays to the story line in the game unlike wow and you cant say wow does. The graphics are 10x better than wow and still can be ran on not so good computers. The rifts that spawn while you are questing are fun and make the gameplay real. Events happen during the game and you can change what happens in the game and make an impact on what happens.kthx

They are doing 10x better on wow answering forums on the site and there updating stuff daily and changing things. Trust me this game is here to stay it has unique gameplay like no other game. Aion and those other games were no where near like this game and they just played like wow and wow was a better game so those failed, this game plays nothing like wow game play wise. and the graphics omg

One of the things that I find heartening about this game is that it's being developed by a Californian game company (Trion) Nothing huge against Korean and Japanese MMO development, but once burned, twice shy over here. ;)

Game has potential. The combat looks a bit choppy and awkward, sort of like WAR's combat. Would be nice if this "next generation MMO" was a bit more fluid.

@piratebri The classes that stem from the rogue archetype in this game have far more fluid melee. I guess it must be tough to make wielding a greatsword look graceful /grins

@iAmDeathSpank true, i still play wow myself and enjoy it. I do like the graphics more than wow's. Its just a shame they arent shooting for something more (again gameplay wise). Its totally understandable though, they want to go with whats tried and true and make money.

@gakiyarou What you have to understand is that they are trying to push the genre in other areas. Like the class system btw which is simply amazing, and the Rift system which adds a lot of life to the world.

@b00mQQ WoW isnt the only MMO I've played nor is the first, it merely took elements that game from other games before it and refined them over the years. Thats why Its always used as a basis of comparison, that and its also the most played MMO of all time.

Too true. But really it's hard 'not' to make an MMO that doesn't do the things that WoW does because all the things that WoW does are all the things that all the other MMOs do. Have you checked out the RIFT website? It looks to be pretty awesome. The talent trees are really well thought out.
