I know that Datura has been used a lot in the andean world by the chamans. Gound datura seeds were inhaled but they knew what they were doing because of a long experience and kowledge. When someone explains things in a non-biased way, the listener should be able to recognize that Datura has nothing to offer them. The difference between threshold dose and LD50 is SLIM. Datura shaman know the path, seek them out.
you should add in the info the dosage and weight, as well as the important info about how toxic and weight sensitive Datura is. Personally, I dont think anyone should take it for recreation, its not like taking it for recreation will help you learn anything anyways. LSD can kill you if you you take a high enough dose, but you'd have to either set out to do it intentionally or mistake a crushed crystalline form of lsd for coke or something and snort a line of it. I talked to a researcher that told me that Datura is one of the only plants that can carry AIDs. So kids dont try it, as if you survive the initial trip, you might die from AIDs later on. One of the flowers out of ten carry the aids, and one out of 5 plants carries the aids flower. That is about 1/50th chance of picking the aids flower. It might seem like good odds, but that really is not.

Datura overdose is fatal.
You can't tell the dose that suits you the best. For all we know, foreksample i may get a really hard trip for 3 days with just one leaf, while some other person may need 3 leaves to feel something.

I've done it, and I took WAY to much i boiled about 8-9 of the spiked pods all of the seeds out of them with some leaves and stems from some pot to make it taste better, 3 days man 3 days before I could realize what had happened, about a week or longer to come back totally, and maybe I am crazy but i still feel like it has fucked me up, thats for sure.
Stay away from the datura DONT EAT IT OR DRINK just stay away from the jimson weed.

shit sucks.. you basically black out and do stupid shit, with probably about 2% of your concious and reasoning while hallucinating.
My friend broke into some ones house while on it. Got police charges. Couldn't remember it, afterwards hallucinated people for 24hours afterward. Other people I knew got sent to ICU.

I know that Datura has been used a lot in the andean world by the chamans. Gound datura seeds were inhaled but they knew what they were doing because of a long experience and kowledge. Sure it's not a game. A lots of people are telling that it's a very dangerous psychedelic, but most of them don't know it. Of course you have doors that you won't open, unless you are aware of what you could find behind, if you are prepared to. Datura is a powerful key, but not for the common people.

i finally was able to try it 9 days ago. I had been highly interested in trying it for over 8 years, just never found anyone that had any. I had done ayahuasca before in the Amazon which has DMT in it. Just never smoked the pure form until now. Extremely powerful, however, the ayahuasca trip was wayyyyyy more intense, life changing, religious, etc.. But dont get me wrong, the DMT is no walk in the park. ayahuasca was more primal/sacred type trip - i mean i was in the jungle w/ indians!

I think if the community of responsible drug users, the Drug Geeks as they may be called, made more of an effort to directly discourage the use of Datura by just explaining the facts of what Datura does, there would be fewer people that would still choose to try it.
When someone explains things in a non-biased way, the listener should be able to recognize that Datura has nothing to offer them. The difference between threshold dose and LD50 is SLIM. Datura shaman know the path, seek them out.

you should add in the info the dosage and weight, as well as the important info about how toxic and weight sensitive Datura is. Personally, I dont think anyone should take it for recreation, its not like taking it for recreation will help you learn anything anyways. There is a wealth of information and wisdom to be found in such state, if one approaches with the appropriate regard.

Take around 15-20 if you are skinny. 50-70 if you are fat. This is a safe dosage and should get you nice and high. Fuck all these people that say datura is bad, they've never done it!!

LSD can kill you if you you take a high enough dose, but you'd have to either set out to do it intentionally or mistake a crushed crystalline form of lsd for coke or something and snort a line of it. That would kill you and has killed people. Fact check on Erowid.

I talked to a researcher that told me that Datura is one of the only plants that can carry AIDs. So kids dont try it, as if you survive the initial trip, you might die from AIDs later on. One of the flowers out of ten carry the aids, and one out of 5 plants carries the aids flower. That is about 1/50th chance of picking the aids flower. It might seem like good odds, but that really is not.
