  • The lesbian twins are creepy

  • @LiannaRodriguez I know, right?

  • Magical film, and better than the novel, despite its flaws. Nelson Riddle and Sam Waterston at the top of their form.

  • Why is it called the roaring 20s? They're not roaring!

  • @sartanko it's an illegal drunken dance party what else do you want?

  • @DrKorn5

    Bestial roaring!

  • Great movie! Farrow was so pretty and perfect.

The book it's marvelous. The crazy 1920's!

  • great book great movie thanks for that video!

  • I love this book and movie. I love everything about this era(fashion, music, etc). Pure decadence!!

  • If anyone out there is building a time machine then I`ll throw in a few bucks if you take me to the 20s.

  • The film and the music was superior to the book.

  • Is Charleston, the type of dance that the people are doing? :)

  • I watched this a zillion times to learn that dance

  • HOLY SHOOT! HOW DO THEY DO THAT WITH THEIR FEET AT 1:56 ??? D:

  • @tabatha94 I know how to do it. I taught myself a few moves from this movie. With some practice you'll get the hang of it :) lol.

  • People stopped having parties/dressing like this why?! That gas blue dress would be worth 11k usd today!

  • Charleston! Charleston!

  • @roviaro30 HEY, I KNOW YOU!

  • Like the rave crowd in the 90s. Possibly better drugs in the 90s, better outfits in the 20s. 1-1.

  • @carntspell Better drugs? They had benzedrine. That shit was mad.

  • Is everyone aware that they are planning to remake this film with Leo Dicaprio as Gatsby?

  • The song at 1.24 is 'I'm Gonna Charleston Back To Charleston'

  • Hey Fans...just an FYI...The homes used for these scenes are tourable in the Newport Rhode Island Mansions Tour...The main site used for the party scene is the home known as Rosecliff. The rest of The Great Gatsby uses both Rosecliff and The Marble House. I attended a 1978 party at The Marble House, just 4 years after the filming of the movie...I was only 9 but it was like a dream...Returned in 2000 to take the tours...Wonderful stuff you all should check out as Gatsby fans. Joey in Chicago

  • Love this scene! Such a well made movie.

  • @999Phineas wow ihvnt logged into here in the longest time......... :P

  • Whats the song at 1:24?

  • i need that recording of Charleston, i cant find it anywhere.

  • @GuessWhatAlexandra the soundtrack is not availabe on cd or for download. i bought an old record soundtrack of it on ebay and just uploaded the tracks myself onto my computer. great tunes.

  • i have such a ridiculous crush on jordan...

  • I mean who are these people. I think the rich get a rather bad wrap, especially today's rich. (that is, people who use the word summer as a verb) Young girls today will be the first to tell you that money doesn't matter to anymore

  • The actual mansion is in Newport, Rhode Island. It is called the Rosecliff Mansion and you can tour it and walk around near the lawn and fountain.

  • @BeckhamBoston would love to do that!

  • @BeckhamBoston i did that last year and am now watching this movie in english and it is really cool to have been there

  • My, but that Charleston does look deliciously fun

  • I wish somebody would post this whole movie!!! The book was amazing!

  • This was a good movie, today the movies are junk. I like the charelston song in here, this was also a remake of a 1926 silent film starring Warner Baxter. The Great Gatsby (1926) is today a lost film.

  • @ikevyoiPhone3G1996 really? i thought this version was the first! i would love to watch that.
