It's his relaxed composure, that's the big deal.Sure he's no Brodeur, but he still had a lot of lucky breaks with respect to his netminding job.

All the hype is about him beating Kirk McLean's(former Vancouver goalie's) record of wins and saves etc.That's why he's dubbed 'the franchise guy', same pattern we saw when he was playing for the F. Panthers. Some goalies who are good are usually placed on bad teams perhaps?

Not overrated, he was playing backup mostly for the Olympics(from 2002-2010) alongside Brodeur. He just recently came into the spotlight after having played well at Vancouver Olympics, bringing a gold medal win for Canada. I don't understand why there has to be so much expectation from him at this stage.
