Fail. Olympic and Titanic were each UNDERINSURED by 25% of their value. Much of their covered value was underwritten by White Star's own in-house insurance company. To believe that White Star would actually try to defraud ITSELF is absurd. They may have been unscrupulous, but they weren't stupid. By sinking the ship, they have to eat 25% of its value any way you look at it. No insurance payout plus huge costs for modifications equals no reason for a scam.

I've watched the whole of this documentary and although it was more or less put together on a very low budget and almost amateurish with it's film quality , and narrator holding a model scale of a boat rather than CGI I have to say this conspiracy really is factual and almost scares me that all along I assumed like everyone else that It was the titanic and that it's just another tragic event.. @amarsbarr This theory has been proven false by many. There are a lot to list, if they in fact switched the ships in a shipyard, you would have to have millions of works to do this. It would't have been a job for a few men. It would't have been a secret. The Titanic was uninsured when it sailed, if it was the Olympic they would have doubled it. A Deck promenade on the Titanic was enclosed while the Olympic's was open. After the Titanic sank, Olympic also got the Cafe Parisian.

About the MP engraved, that is a HORRIBLE case of CGI animation gone wrong. If Dr. Robert Ballard (Who found the wreck) had really seen this he would have said something. Noone put's such ship in drydock "for few hours".
However, after far more strudy and modern ship - one of WWII Iowa class battleships - was damaged in bow area during collision with much smaller vessels, even after extensive repairs it never again become as fast as it's sister ships.

Titanic was bigger than the Olympic.
Olymic had an open promenade deck, Titanic had an inclosed one.
When Titanic was found the serial number on the propellor was 401.
and the theory, that they swiched propellors is impossible. They had no machinary back then to move it.
if it was to get money, someone would've blabbed because some of the crew worked on Olympic they would've noticed the swap. White Star line would've wanted to keep it hush hush. and not take any chances.

Fail. Olympic and Titanic were each UNDERINSURED by 25% of their value. Much of their covered value was underwritten by White Star's own in-house insurance company. To believe that White Star would actually try to defraud ITSELF is absurd. They may have been unscrupulous, but they weren't stupid. By sinking the ship, they have to eat 25% of its value any way you look at it. No insurance payout plus huge costs for modifications equals no reason for a scam.

Ridiculous, Olympic's keel was not damaged, and even if it had been Harland and Wolff were capable of fixing it. They pioneered cutting keels in half and inserting new sections to lengthen a ship. They built and joined a whole new bow section to a wrecked liner in 1907.

I've watched the whole of this documentary and although it was more or less put together on a very low budget and almost amateurish with it's film quality , and narrator holding a model scale of a boat rather than CGI I have to say this conspiracy really is factual and almost scares me that all along I assumed like everyone else that It was the titanic and that it's just another tragic event.. It all makes so much perfect sense like putting a 1000 piece puzzle together. It all fits perfectly

@amarsbarr This theory has been proven false by many. There are a lot to list, if they in fact switched the ships in a shipyard, you would have to have millions of works to do this. It would't have been a job for a few men. It would't have been a secret. The Titanic was uninsured when it sailed, if it was the Olympic they would have doubled it. A Deck promenade on the Titanic was enclosed while the Olympic's was open. After the Titanic sank, Olympic also got the Cafe Parisian.

About the MP engraved, that is a HORRIBLE case of CGI animation gone wrong. If Dr. Robert Ballard (Who found the wreck) had really seen this he would have said something. Fact: The forward windows found on the A deck promenade area of the wreckage in the North Atlantic Ocean indicate, without a doubt, that it is, indeed, R.M.S. Titanic.
Fact: Identification numbers (for insurance purposes by Lloyds of London) on various parts of both ships were different; Olympic had its own assigned ID numbers which, in no way, matched the ones given to Titanic, and thus, did not match the ones found on wreckage.. in effect, the propellers, the capstans and deck bollards, etc.

What these bozos do not understand is that even if it was another ship, and they put the new name plaque on her saying that it is the Titanic. This brings up the Philosophical question on what is the Titanic, if they put a new name on a 747 that crashed in Lockarbee "Queen of the Seas", and it used to be another plane, so did the Queen of the Seas really crash, the answer is yes. So a ship did sink in 1912 with 1500 and we call it the Titanic. Who cares about all else
