One has to be specific to the slice of time she lived to understand the makeup of her ancestry. Her husband Akenaten, his and her parents and both his/her grandparens were all part Mittanian, thus she feels it perfectly natural to wear a Mittanian crown. The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities sent samples of King Tut's remains to ten different companies to be tested. The DNA doesn't lie. It showed King Tut to be in a Haplogroup that is of a European origin. All ten samples proved this. It is clear that he had European ancestry. How much of his ancestry was of European origin is not clear but his DNA is known and it is not of an "African" origin.

Also, the hair was straight-wavy hair, unlike Negro hair. Also, Ethiopians have mixed over time with Arabs who crossed over from the Arabian peninsula. Ethiopians are a mixed people in which the mixing took place much after ancient Egypt or any land of Punt theories. Any features that would be close to Caucasian would have come from genetic mixing. They are Berbers that are mixed race with East African. The Berbers from the Northwestern Maghreb are not. Such as the Riffians and the Kabyle, who look like Southern Europeans. Some Kabyle look like southern Europeans while others look African like the Masmuda or Shluh purer Berbers, because that's exactly what they are. Everyone also has to remember that countries that are as old as Egypt, and continents as old as Africa, have such complex histories, we can write thousands of books on them. When I look at those Ancient Egyptians, I just see people influenced by the environment around them. And Nefertiti was alive during a time when most Egyptians had already mixed with other peoples, so you can't base a "pure" egyptian based on her looks.

I'm Northern Ethiopian, and Nefertiti looks like she could be in my family. Ethiopia is even older than Egypt, and it too experienced a migration of Middle Easterns and Greeks during the A.D. periods...especially in Egypt, I mean it faces Europe and the Mediterranean, there has to be interaction.
Contrary to what the Egyptian guy below me said, modern Egyptians have almost nothing to do with the Ancients. They are mainly Syrian people. The Coptic Egyptians are the closest to the real Egyptians.

Johannesburg is also a city in an African country but it's citizens are primarily white. That doesn't mean that they aren't African though. If you live in Africa your African.

Don't know if you knew or noticed, but Africans have a wide range of features depending mostly on the region of their origin. Also people tend to move from place to place, and tend to mix with one another when they relocate. This can yield features which you cannot predict based on "race" assumption.
