It's not that big of a leap to assume that wealthy people are Republican because the Republican party is for the wealthy. They also own property (the wealthy) and although not all of them are slum lords, the slum lords tend to be affiliated with the Republican party. I will admit that I have not taken time to research.

How legal was the American invasion of Mexico? How does McClintock think we got the states of California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Nevada, Utah, and parts of Wyoming, Colorado and Oklahoma? The United States invaded and forcibly annexed half of Mexico's territory. Ulysses Grant described the Mexican-American War as "one of the most unjust ever waged by a stronger against a weaker nation." I don't think we have room to complain about Mexicans "invading" the United States.

Hey in all other countries illegal border crossers are shot and killed for invasion crimes. But not here? If word got out that illegal crossers were being shot, the illegal immigration would stop over night. So now you guys will criticizes that too? Defending one's own country? All you have to do is post signs that IBC"s will be shot, and have a few people shooting blanks at them. problem solved.

@altops The problem would be solved if the employers were to be fined $10,000. for each illegal hired and for each day they remained hired. But the "powers that be" won't allow that to happen!
As far as the drug smugglers go, they should be shot on sight, as soon as it is has been proven that this is what they have in their possession.

I agree with his assessment, but I believe he is being naive about where the fault lies. This same attitude has existed for years and both parties are to blame. McCain wanted to push immigration reform through and the policy the democrats are now looking toward is absolutely identical. The reason? Big business and big payouts and big votes. If they bail out illegals, they get votes and taxpayers pick up the tab.

The inner cities always have the lowest quality of schools and the lowest graduation rates.

@hoffman164 You might be right, but I live in a very wealthy county in CA, and the people who have big companies that hire cheap labor are wealthy and therefore Republicans. It's not that big of a leap to assume that wealthy people are Republican because the Republican party is for the wealthy. They also own property (the wealthy) and although not all of them are slum lords, the slum lords tend to be affiliated with the Republican party. I will admit that I have not taken time to research.
