Hey is it possiblet to hook up a rack compressor or a rack noise gate with this interface? I see at the back it has 8 output channels that are 1/4 inch jack inputs..
Hi, I am looking to get this, and wonder if my laptop can handle recording so many channels at once, what are you using for a computer? My laptop has an intel i5@2.4ghz, 8GB DDR3, and a solid state hard drive for comparison. I would rather not bring my i7 desktop down to the basement to record.
I suggest you get a good pair of condenser mic's for overheads, that way it gives you a cleaner cymbal sound and some room ambience to spice up the drums :)
@TheBluesguitarman I'm might be wrong, but are u talking soundwise, because I know surround sound there is 5.1 where its 5 speaker, and a bass, 1 in the middle, 2 in front at an angle, two at the back in ana ngle and a bass, I'm guessing maybe 2.0 are two speaker/monitors so stereo pretty much
Hello, I was just checking your video and I have a couple questions it would be great if you can help me :
1- I have shure drum mics with XLR cables, I noticed but checking out the rear view picture that I need different cables for that ... what are those ? Speaker cables with XlR from the other end ? what are they called ?
2- Also will this work with CUBASE LE on Windows 7 ?
can it be used with logic?

you added the effects and compression from the software that comes with the interface? or did you do that through pro tool plugins?

when the drums are recorded are they all recorded into one track or is each mic recorded as a seperate track e.g snare-track 1, kick track 2?
velocityrock124 6 months ago
@velocityrock124 Each mic is recorded into a separate track.

@CharbelSalem 1.) All my mics have XLR cables, the other cables are for my monitors.
2.) I don't know about its compatibility with cubase.
