WOw... just now this is my first time ever looking at this on the PSP version... I played the PS1 version and what? a remake for the PSP... I just looked at the intro on the PSP ver. and tha Fuk? They should of kept the same voices from its original version and stay on the graphics... Total Dislike...

Why weren't the graphics like this one the PS1? I know it was fully capable for running these graphics because, well, look at the Megaman Legends games; they were on the PS1 and had graphics just as good as this.

@CrapFlashCorp Megaman Legends looked nowhere near as good as Ape Escape. Characters and environments were using extremely low polygon counts, looking similar to blocky lego figures. Ape Escape had far more diverse and detailed environments/characters (better effects like rain and fog too), built with a lot more geometry than MML's limited polygons. Ape Escape was one of the best looking PS1 games. Legends doesn't look terrible, but considerably less visually intensive than Ape Escape.

@mistamontiel You rotate it by holding down the button while rotating the analog stick. You use the Super Hoop by mashing the button over and over.

i remember back at the time reading in a game magazine when sony released ape escape for the ps1 on the markets nintendo got mad becase sony toke of zelda buttons style on screen and the game looks so much like mario 64 at the gameplay and some stuff is that true?

I never heard about that. Ape Escape got a lot of praise because of its control scheme (it DOES use every single button on the controller). I can't really compare it to a Zelda game 'cause I've never played any of them.

a lot of platforming games in the 90's were like Mario 64, so there's obviously gonna be some similarities.

@chaffXgrenade This doesn't compare to Zelda at all. You should play Ocarina of Time, download an emulator or anything. Just play it, I know you'll enjoy it. (BTW it does have buttons on the screen for items, but the playing style, story, and features are totally different.) It's a really nice challenging game everyone loves. So I recommend it to everyone on Earth.

i tried playing psx version os psp, but it didnt work cause it says you must insert a controller with 2 analog sticks

and keeps that error...

im a big fan of this game....

now i can finnaly play it on my psp
