  • is there a way 2 do this flower w. out the magic circle ?

  • @breezyl0ve yes, you can work a chain instead starting with a chain 3 or chain 4

  • @tjw1963 eye learned how to do it watching your other tutorial thanks ^_^

  • @breezyl0ve I am glad you got it to work!!

  • @kellypinklily A few extra stitches will not hurt a thing. When you look at a flower, they are not perfect in size anyway.

  • @kellypinklily Keep practicing!! Errors are part of the learning process.

  • Wow looks lovely! hopefully i will be able to do something like this soon

  • Wow I randomly found this, I know nothing about knitting or wahtever, but this was cool to watch, (though I didnt watch all 20 minutes), Was awesome seeing the end result

    * subscribes just to see future cool stuff* lol

  • @liosama Thank you. I do have video for the basic stitches, which will make it easier to patterns like this.

  • what type of yarn did you use for this? and what size hook? It looks great!!

  • @laurafid1 Size H/5mm crochet hook and 4 ply yarn.

  • um... did you do it at night?? 'cause I heard something like bugs.... those that sound at night

  • @IrisHanniwu It was done during the day. We do have tiny little frogs that make a huge croaking noise during the day. That may have been what you heard.

  • @tjw1963 Oh... XD

  • um... did you do it at night?? 'cause I heard something like bugs.... those that sound at night

  • Sooo pretty

  • wow thats cool ^.^ it would have been like a real lotus if you would have used white yarn but its still pretty ^.^

  • so if i wanted to sew it onto a hat or scarf or something, how would i do that??

  • You would get a tapestry needle, a strand of yarn and start sewing it. I do have a video on adding embellishments.

  • Yea. I saw it like a few minutes after I watched this video. Thanks!!! Tapestry needle, got it. Okay, so one more question. How do you "join" the stitches?? Thanks!!

  • Yes Teresa we go by mm. The fattest hook being 4 1/2 mm and the thinner hook is 0.9 mm which I hv. There are much thinner hooks available. The 4 1/2 mm hook is way too thick, the nxt is 3 1/4 mm. No more choices out here. specially for the bullion st. the hook u use is not available!! Pls suggest something!!

  • In India We do not get the hooks as per ur recommended ones but rather in nos, which are not as thick or fat like the ones u use, how do I substitute for that?

  • Do you go by millimeters?

  • Yes we do! The fattest being 4 1/2 mm, nxt 3 1/4 mm, nxt 1.75 mm, then the thinner hooks>...Also for the bullion st the hook u use is not available here. PLS suggest something for me. U are a blessing for those who want to crochet. May god keep u in the best of health always!!!

  • The hook contraption I use for the bullion stitch is something I made up. I do have a hook conversion chart on my crochet blog for the difference between the letters and metric.

  • could i please have your magic circle in slow motion video too? thanks,

  • I sent it to you.

  • when u do the magic circle can u do it a slow motion because its really hard to get.

  • I have a magic circle in slow motion. I will send you a separate link to the video.

  • Teresa, you are such a great teacher!

  • Thank you. :)

  • whatt size hook are u usin and what type yarn? is it ok if i use a size C hook?

  • This is made with a size H hook and 4-ply yarn. You can use a C hook and 2 or 3 ply yarn. The only thing that will happen is that the flower will be smaller. The written instructions are posted under "More Info" to the right of the video.

  • great videos! I don't even know how to crotchet, but I saved them to my favorites for the day I Learn. I am basically a quilter. What do you do with the flowers as in form of projects? Purses? Vest? Hat accessories?

  • They can go any anything that you mentioned and even granny squares. Flower granny squares are fun to make.

  • hi,

I have been following your video demonstrations and I love them. I have successfully crocheted a hat for my daughter. Could you post a pattern for a vest if possible? Thx so much.

  • Thank you. :)

  • How amazing -- I type in crochet lotus and I got one! I have to make this! What is the finished size? Exactly what size is the yarn and the hook? Is it crochet yarn (size 10,3 etc) or something else?

  • I used 4-ply worsted weight yarn since it shows up on camera better than the tiny thread. You can make it with thread. It is approximately 4-5 inches across with yarn.

  • All of the work I've seen you do is so amazing. They are all just so beautiful.

  • Thank you. :)

  • The first video I watched you crocheted the white baby dress using the Solomon Knot aka Love Knot....and I knew I would be a fan. Being able to see and hear how to make different ideas has my creative juices surging. Thank you!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Thanks for your beautiful and wonderful way of making crochet into flowers.

  • You are welcome. I have many more ideas for flowers. I have a garden of crochet flowers growing in my head.
