Thanks for Replying back i had avast 4.8. and i did some reaserch and alot of other people were having problems with the AED error codes. Some of them suggested to uninstall your anti virus or do updates on your computer. I have a toshiba windows 7. Now i only got Spyware Doctor. I still have problems with it and i have no clue why.
I bought this at guitar center, it came with pro tools pre. I would not recommend this to anyone it gives you too many problems. It pops up too many AED codes.Everytime you record something you have to save it or else pop ups will come up. I even had to delete my anti virus cause it wasnt compatable with it, and i still have problems!!!!!
can you plug your bass or guitar into their respective amp then the amp to the interface so you have the tone you already like.. so thiers no need to mess with the effects in the software?
Thanks for the helpful information and the review of this product. I actually just ordered one of these today, and I can't wait to use it. For your next video try to not be so jerky with the camera and show yourself playing, otherwise it was good
Hey pickles, Have you ever had a problem with the pro tools se software freezing up on you or making static sounds after you have recorded something? I own this product and had to uninstall the pro tools because i was having those problems....
@BigVStudio i did not have those problems on my windows machine. i now have it installed on my mac and it seems to be working fine. try updating the drivers
@maurocordeiromusic hello! as soon as you plug in the interface, your computer will recognize it and the device turns on. you only turn on the phantom power if you are using a condenser mic that requires it. good luck to you.
Excellent review but can you please explain me what are differences betwen m-audio mobilepre and m-audio fast track pro! THANX! Also can it work with cubase or albatron? Or only with Pro Tools?
@bloodyz16x24 the fast track pro has MIDI in and out, as well as S/PDIF and RCA outputs for some monitors. they are around the same price, but the fast track pro comes with abelton live lite. personally, i prefer Pro Tools, but its different for everyone. either interface will work with all DAWs, incuding ableton, cubase, pro tools, garageband, and logic. the included Pro Tools SE will only function if an M-audio product is connected, which can be kind of a pain.
i just bought this today...i have amplitube 3 with the stealth pedal...i wanna record and do some covers..will both software be compatable??? i just wanna make sure.
@MILTZ if you are using amplitube 3 as a plugin, you will need to integrate it with pro tools. you SHOULD be able to use the pedal, but the program will only run if an m-audio product is plugged in, such as this interface or an m-audio keyboard
@MILTZ sorry, you can use amplitube as a plugin, but the interface part of the pedal will not. there are only certain devices that pro tools se is compatible with.
@pickles95312 sorry but i still have a problem, so I got the mobilepre which includes Pro Tools SE and I have also that pronomic microphon. Do I need to download any driver for that microphon? or does that microphon not work with the interface?
@susan18496 the microphone that you use requires 48V phantom power. there is a switch on the back of the interface that you will need to turn on in order for it to work.
@jtmagicman25 this interface is pretty good about keeping feedback low, if not cutting it out all together. im sure you wont have a problem with the preamp limits
@MrAndre161292 ASIO drivers arent really necessary. as long as you install the drivers for the interface itself, it should work with any ASIO compatible program and keep latency to a minimum
@shy808pinay if there is an output jack on the amp, then yes. i would actually recommend getting a condenser microphone and using that to mic the amp directlyd
A friend has also reccomended Focusrite Saffire 6 to me also. He said it was a better interface plus it was made out of metal not plastic like the M-Audio. I plan to use Garageband either way I go.
@hawg427 i made this video mainly for windows users. there are plenty of really good interfaces out there. this one is good, but im not saying it is the best. also, garageband is really good. stick with that
When your selecting your virtual instrument do you have to select each note on it or if you select the rhythm will it play on it's own? Let's say you lay down a guitar track can you go back into the drums and select a drum rhythm or do you have to hit the drums to lay a drum rhythm down? I have been trying to decide between this or the ElevenRack or the Zoom H4N portable recorder to record my elec. guitar and my acoustic. I would be using my Imac software called Garage Band.
@hawg427 the computer i am using in this video is broken, i have an imac now. you can select from a whole list of pre-recorded drum loops, as well as loops for other instruments. the piano roll allows you to sequence your own parts for the virtual instruments. it is also integrated with usb or midi keyboards. unfortunately, protools se is only compatible with maudio keyboards, so i unless you have one, i would suggest using garageband. this is a great interface, even if u dont use the software,
@TheInfekt this interface works with any other program, as long as that program is compatible with other devices. my first instinct would say yes, but try searching something like "mobilepre mkii with flstudio 10" on google.
i watched your review a while back, and decided to pick one of these up but when ever i download pro tools of the cd i got with it. pro tools wont load any suggestions ?
@YungArez the box should have had two CDs in it. install pro tools first, and then the drivers. make sure you are installing the right version on to your computer, either mac or windows. can you tell me the specifications for your computer? what computer are you using?
@YungArez im sure you have enough room for pro tools se. did you follow the directions in the giant fold-out sheet? its kind of specific with the steps as far as inserting and removing the discs and the interface
I have pro tools 7.4, how well will this interface work with XP Professional Edition?

@colingtr1 yes, it fits both. there is a 1/4 inch hole in the middle with 3 pins surrounding it. they are interchangeable with no modifications

Hey Pickles95312 !!! I´m Mauro Cordeiro, from Brasil, and i just bought this interface!!! The same one =)
Please, i´d like to know one thing... The interface don´t have ON/OFF button, except the Phantom Power... But I mean...In general ....
Do I just plug the USB to turn ON and Unplug the USB to turn OFF? Is that simple? No danger to damage, etc?
Hugs and best regards from Brasil !
