How to fix Diablo 2 compatibility issues for windows7

i have MAJOR LAG in the game. it worked fine then all the sudden my mouse is lagging,my character moves slow. i have been searching for a fix and i have came up empty, i tried everything.

@mastamass132 change to Windows XP (Service pack 2), disable desktop composition, run this program as administrator and change your screen resolution to 800x600 then you can defently play the game i have this settings and i can play it

if you have strage colors change your dekstop background to solid color it worked for me just leave screen resoliution window opened

Hi dude and other random ppl XD I got a nasty problem.

One of my friend got an hybrid mac (runing mac os and windows 7, 64bit i think). I tried to run as admin, windows sp2 compatible, but it told me to insert the cd. The cd was in there, a legit copy and all, no scratch, working well on other computer under windows xp. Got any idea on how to solve this? Thx!

@avimaniac That sucks.. Ok You are running MAC and windows 7? Didnt know you could do that. This game may nto work with the newer versions of mac. Make sure you bought the mac version if there is one let me look into it

@GmodAttic I was surprised too. Actually, it's a Mac book. At first, it had only Mac OS X v. 10.6.2, then Windows 7 (64 bit I think, got to look) has been installed. I thought of installing LOD, then using the NO CD fix, but that little bug just pissed me off. Allthough the installation went well (as my friend said...) , can't play with the CD. I heard about the buffer doing shit when reading cd for gaming, so that's why i'd like to try the NO CD fix. If any1 else has another solution, plz tell.

The first time i started up diablo 2, it had a screwed up resolution, but now it just wont work... i did everything in the video and when i run diablo 2, the whole screen goes black except for a little white rectangle on the corner and when i press the home button thingy on the keyboard and it comes back to normal, theres a window that says UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: ACCES_VIOLATION (c0000005)
