I'm looking for just a web browsing device, I don't need any of the other perks, but I'll take them if I get them. What I want to know is would you recommend this to me as an affordable web browsing handheld? Also, will I ever have to pay for internet if I buy it and use wifi hotspots?

I've been reading up on the com-2 but, im not sure i understand the whole skype calling and what not--one can only call when you have wi-fi signal? Or will skype do its magic and let you call around the world. I understand what skype does, but i don't think its all there with the com-2...

or maybe im just complicating things. :D

i think this is way better than the itouch. just buy the 8GB memory stick duo and that equals 9GB total space for music and videos. also not to mention itouch does not make calls. BOO !! anyway this as its called its everything u need to stay connected. from calling everyone on skype or being called on skype, to web surfing and answering myspace messages, posting comments. checking out youtube. im just amazed at this mylo cappabilities. so try out for urself.

after u got ur # people with cellphones or landlines can call you there and leave voice messages. texting is 10 cents each. i go to college so i get free wifi there. at home i have a small wireless network so im always connected. but t-mobile charges 39.99 a month for wifi hotspot internet. so overal u get a very good deal.i paid a whole year of skype at once. think of it as a carrier deposit but u dont get it back and its way less. and after that i just use t-mobile for connectivity

ok i hope people find my comment helpful. its $3 a month for 12 thats 36 bucks skype charges you for making unlimited calls to anyone in the US and canada. after u got that plan it charges you $30 a year to give you a local phone number depending on where ur from so people who dont have long distance that live where you live can still call you. so thats $65 a year. what else do you want !!!

No, you can't. You could call their phones if you pay somewhere around $50 a year. Unfortunately, texting is out of the question.

When Someone calls you on skype does it ring on the phone or does it only ring if you have the earbud and mic in? Can you keep skype open even when you close it? I was looking to use it more as a SKYPE VOIP pjone . I also dont understand why you metioned about the 60 dollars per month. Dose cost to use skype on the Mylo 2?

how does aim work? is it easy to switch from the browser to your aim conversation? i heard u just have to like click the info button. and how fast is the browser compared to the old mylo?

Much much faster than the original mylo. Also the resolution makes it much more usable, you can switch from web to aim very quickly. Anytime you switch away from the browser it closes it though.

It does have some slight issues. It appears to have a limit to how many things you have open at the same time. I am hoping they release some firmware or whatnot to improve this.
