You think if feminists were watching this we'd be HAPPY about a gender divide that's harmful to men? Aw that hurts my feel-goods. I've had far too many conversations, with men, where I was the one saying that "Not all men are ____". The culture of male-hate is awful. As someone who was raised Mormon in a sexist-as-fuck community, I don't want to make anyone feel the way I've been made to.
Funny enough, you seem to be defending feminism, just not pseudo-feminist matriarchs. Nobody likes them.
Hey dude I had it out with a man hating hooker (go figure right) I tried being civil with her but she wasn't having any of it and started sending emails and spewing hate speech toward me,she said she wanted honesty so I posted my opinion of her and her profession, she didn't like the facts as I saw them so she blocked me from commenting on her channel but continued to send hate mail, until her channel was removed (she was advising women to sell themselves on the street like she did)
I was going to read all the comments but I just can't. The problem, to me seems to be that all of this falls under the umbrella term of Feminism. If we really want to step forward in our understanding, then we need to start expanding the term. Time to stop calling people Feminists. It means too many things. And while Machiavelli had some good ideas, people don't generally refer to themselves as Machiavelli'ists because of the negative connotations. I think Feminism is at that point.
You're a feminist. The bits of feminism you're talking about are the shitty aspects of it, but the views you've put across are 101 in the PROPER (liberal) feminism.
There will be no talking with feminists. Men are done negotiating. We have chosen to unplug from the matrix and enjoy our lives. Choosing freedom over slavery. Only a deranged neurotic feminist (90% of all American females) would expect men to willingly submit to a serfdom for the benefit of those that hate us. You feminists made your bed, and you will be made to lie in it. Its not about revenge, its about logic. You gambled, and you lost. Now die. We men will enjoy watching you crash and burn.
Dude, there's nothing wrong with saying you're anti-feminists.These evil cunts are more evil than satan himself. They're the cause of the destruction of most of today's societies and families. You should say you ARE against them and all what they stand for, which is nothing but special rights for women,no responsibilities or liability for women, and most of all male bashing and hating. That's the true face of feminatzism. I'm glad u realize what's being done to boys in the "school" system.
@niteowlsam I agree. He seems like this is what he wants to say but he seems like he's afraid of the ''politically incorrect'' ;label. I'm a anti feminist and I even have a t shirt that says that on it.
@YoungnRomantic " he seems like he's afraid of the ''politically incorrect'' ;label. I'm a anti feminist and I even have a t shirt that says that on it. "
I thought that when you started playing the music that this would be stupid, but I think your point is very important and well said. I wish i was that eloquent at your age. I didn't like it when you said it was ALMOST ironic; trust it IS ironic. Also, nice shirt.
This has nothing to do with feminism and everything to do with our educational system in the U.S. Here's the truth: males and females learn differently. If this assertion of feminism hurting boys in school were true, why do boys consistently score higher in math and science? It has to do with wiring, the amount of time kids have for recess during the day (boys need to move around more in order to sit and focus on lessons), and the gender typing done by teachers. (They ask boys more technical q's
@sangria82 I disagree.Women receive a good percentage of the degrees in coleges these days and yet feminists don't care about that because women would be affected if it changed. Then again, women don't se men as important so campaigning for equal rights for men would make them hold up to their word of being about equality and they don't want to do that.
Excellent video. I see you have attracted the scores of brainless feminidiots who tell you to "get your facts straight," or "you need to do some ACTUAL research." Feminism is one of those strange little liars clubs that claim YOU must prove THEM to be lying. They lie and say the moon is made of cheese. When you say "no it isn't," they claim they are right until YOU PROVE THE MOON IS NOT MADE OF CHEESE. It's the game of "I am right unless you prove me 100% undeniably wrong for every situation."
@CJC1295DAC please consider that this young man is just pointing out a difference in power dynamic and a shift in majority. just because ppl favor women and girls, doesnt make them feminist. FEMINISM IS ABOUT EQUALITY, and abolishing favoritism or rewards based on sex. its discrimination no matter how you look at it, but these ppl are WRONGLY attributing the word FEMINIST to ppl who are not. REAL FEMINISTS DONT DISCRIMINATE. and yes, I already addressed @clarkewi about it too. :)
@oORockMyHoleOo [part 1] Call yourself an equalist then. Why is it necessary to invoke the feminine prefix if what FEMinism advocates is "equality for all?" It is NOT. Ten years ago, the NOW homepage expressed its mission statement to include equality for men and women. Not now. Why? Because Feminism has reared its ugly true nature which is the advancement and superiority of women over men. Funny how the definition of feminism changes like the direction of the wind to disguise its true agenda.
@CJC1295DAC Feminism was created by Females, for females during a time that was rougher than things are now. Taking the Fem out of Feminism is like taking the Christ out of Christianity. This is a perfect way to illustrate my point. People can claim to be Christian and not be anything like what a Christian is(ie forgiving, dutiful, respectful towards others) and people can claim to be Feminist and not be anything like a Feminist. :)
@oORockMyHoleOo When the leading North American feminist collective, the National Organization for Women (NOW), purposefully removes men from their mission statement towards "equality," I think your own words best reflect their intentions. They claim to be "feminist" but actually practice nothing like equality, now do they? I guess YOU then are the only true feminist, right? All those members of NOW who have deliberately excluded equality for men aren't actual feminists? Give me a break. :)
@CJC1295DAC the reason that there are no shelters for men, is because there is less instance of abuse toward men. Womens shelters were once again, founded by women for women who are abused. the reason they were founded in the first place is because there were no other resources. doesnt it just make sense then that because there are few mens shelters that there is less abuse toward men? because you can go to any relationship website and find the CORRECT stats on why that is. cuz its true. :)
@oORockMyHoleOo Department of Justice statistics, published by the Federal government put incidence of domestic violence at 50/50. Are the CORRECT statistics the ones you yourself cherry pick? Quaint little smiley faces at the end of your posts don't add validity to uncited "sources" that include "relationship websites." Please refer to Erin Prizzy, the FOUNDER of the womens shelter movement, if you'd like the reality of the domestic abuse industry. It's easy to find, right here on youtube. :)
@oORockMyHoleOo [part 2] So, "sugar," what has feminism done for men? You say "real" feminists are about equality, but why have they not fought for employment equity vis a vis men in nursing? Why have they not advocated for a Men's Office of Health when men die, on average, 7 years earlier than women? Why have they not demanded to be included in the draft register? Where are the domestic violence shelters for men? All men are *equally* discriminated against? Is that your feminism? :)
@CJC1295DAC feminism allows for the banishment of mens masculine ideology as the unwritten rule of the way men should live their lives. Once there are no rules on men or women, then ppl will be allowed to live how they want without having to submit to a "standard" that can be segregating and bias. Male nurses make more money and are rarer, thats societies fault, not feminism. Feminism ensures that there are more opportunities for men to not feel weird to enter into a "feminine" job like nursing.
@oORockMyHoleOo Riiight. So we have feminist lobby groups that have legally enshrined selective hiring practices that favour women in non-traditional roles, but to do the same for men in non-traditional roles such as nursing and midwifery is not allowed? So legal enforcement of hiring a candidate based on their sex is somehow societies fault? Male nurses make more money? Ok, now you are just pulling that out of your anus. Don't piss on me and tell me it's raining. ;)
I am a high school teacher and what you describe is completely untrue. Girls still have to be proded to speak out. And don't forget it's all about equality - there is no reason why both genders should be equal in terms of OPPORTUNITY. Boys are not doing well these days becuase boys are stupid dolts. They listen to trash music and think trash which poison's their boneheaded brains. Boys need to stop being stupid and wasting time. Its up to boys to get to work. Don't blame it on feminists.
@clarkewi It is "teachers" like yourself who make me sick. Boys are stupid dolts? There is no reason for equal opportunity? You have revealed the true nature of feminism, which is......NOT about equality at all! That you are responsible for imparting knowledge to children is deplorable. Boys need to stop being stupid? Are you really that obtuse? Please stay away from children. Spread your hate elsewhere, you dried up, miserable old witch!
@CJC1295DAC I am a straight male high school science teacher working in a largely female dominated educational system. While I can sympathise with your concerns about anti male bias, there is no excuse for boneheaded stupidity, thuggishness, laziness and moral sloppiness. Look at rappers like Eminem, Snoop Dog etc. - this is what young males strive to emulate - criminals. There's no excuse for that. so don't try and create one using hystrionics - it's not "manly" at all..
@CJC1295DAC but whos fault is it that these are the ppl our newest generations are looking up to? certainly not feminists! but yougn ppl are still subscribing to all these obviously negative influences. Why?
@oORockMyHoleOo Now you are being obtuse. My argument was to show that both young girls and young boys have negative media influences they follow and to categorize boys as idiots when they struggle with the feminized education system is unfair. I do not care to understand the why of the negative influences here. I care about removing the entrenched bias in the currently feminised education system. Your comment is tangential and distracting to the real issues being discussed in this video. :)
@clarkewi There was no call for me to insult you by calling you a worm. I let my frustration and anger get the best of me. I apologize and I am removing the comment where I made the reference.
dont just read the headlines sugar. Feminism is about gender equality. these people are trying to give feminism a bad rap and are jumping at an opportunity to further cloud what the real definition is. Im more than sure that those ppl they are talking about are NOT feminist. These journalist just need someone to blame for this statistic and are jumping to an obsurd and illogical conclusion.
@clarkewi THANKS. and yes, i agree that opportunity is the same all around. but what is dangerous is the fact that ppl are continuing to think that favoring women and girls is feminist, when in fact, it isnt. Thats just a shift of the power dynamic from men and boys, to women and girls. REAL FEMINISM IS ABOUT EQUALITY. there is such a thing as pro-woman, and pro-equality. both can exist together. :)
I find the current tilt of the media towards Misandry frightening, and I believe things will continue to get worse because of the general small size of most male social networks protecting ideas like fatherhood and the increasing discrimination against men's ability to civilly disagree with feminist extremes or even emotional outbursts.
I'm a mother of two young boys, and I see a difference in the school system than when I was younger. Elementary school is more structured than it used to be...boys and girls are expected to sit still and be quiet...some girls can do this better than boys, but I don't think it was raised as a conspiracy to get boys to fail in their education...I think as we become more advanced there is more pressure to be subdued and obtain an education quicker, ignoring the possibility that it could be bad.
@compugeek7221 That being said...I am considered a feminazi by most people's standards, but I really don't find it fair in general to children to be treated this way. school used to be something you looked forward to (before the pressures in middle school and high school rose and fitting in was a priority), and not something you wanted to avoid. There are some days my boys love going to school, and other days that they hate it. if you don't want to go back what's the use in running it like that?
@compugeek7221 I see nothing feminazi in your statements thus far and I am an ardent anti-feminist. I agree that the feminisation of education was not a conspiracy to subjugate boys. However, I feel it has failed boys in much the same manner that traditional education methods failed girls. Now is the time for reform in that perhaps we should examine seperate systems for the sexes? We had girls and boys schools in years gone by. Perhaps it is time to return to that system. Feminazi? Not at all.
@CJC1295DAC I completely agree in going back to the system that I as a parent went through in school. I can see the pressures the school system has put on my oldest son just in first grade, and don't look forward to the years to come. They want to put him on meds for adhd, and I'm just not having it, I think he's a perfectly normal child (not that adhd is something "wrong" or abnormal), and I'm not going to have him medicated just because the teachers can't do their job.
Feminists will try and claim they are for gender equality for both sexes , but when they take a complete hissy fit whenver it is suggested that males are falling behind in school etc and we need to help our boys they show their true colors...
Feminist groups are large and well funded through Government grants. Men's Rights groups do exist, but are very small and receive little to no funding. Chivalry is also a big problem facing Boys and Men in modern culture.
The truth is the fight of feminists was not equality on all things, but equality on certains social things. Don't waste your time defining equality stricktly; it will only deceive you; it's like the word racism.
The dynanics of this situation have started changing, soon we will enter new era.
@Angus1966 some of them don't mature at all. The day that a woman can walk the streets naked without guys yelling 'phwoaaar' or obscenities at her will be the day you can wake up to a better new America.
@fatpizzaman A better new America? Don't you mean a castrated, pussified, nanny-state? Where are these women who desire to walk the streets naked? Let me understand this correctly. You envision an America where women desire (for some sort of, ostensibly, non-sexual reason) to walk around naked without attracting the sexual attention of men? Being faced with T and A, you would like men to be completely unaroused and unresponsive? Why on earth would women want this? How does castration = maturity?
@CJC1295DAC it's been proven in countries where female nudity is more commonplace there are far less sex offences and violence against women, as well as lesser incidents of teen pregnancies and unwanted pregnancies. See the sites gotopless. org and tera. ca for more information. America is still a very sexist and misogynistic country and needs to grow up.
@fatpizzaman I went to your websites and they did not confirm anything you said. I did find it interesting that "GoTopless was founded by the Raelian Movement, which recognizes that life on Earth was created by advanced extraterrestrial scientists." Who can argue with extraterrestrial scientists? It's obvious you are much more educated and enlightened than myself. I was crazy to believe that men ogling naked women walking the streets was a completely natural response. How obtuse of me. You win.
@fatpizzaman thats not true. the middle east is notorious for violence against women, even according to their definitions of what violence is. and they dont allow their women to show very much skin outside of their faces.
"Although low income boys, like low income girls, are lagging behind middle class students, boys are scoring significant gains in elementary and middle school and are much better prepared for college...Much of the pessimism about young males seems to derive from inadequate research, sloppy analysis, and discomfort with the fact that although the average boy is doing better, the average girl has gotten ahead of him."
PS: there are different kinds of feminism, and not all feminists will agree.
@dannycs77 It is YOU who is lacking in research with respect to feminism. You quote the liberal biased Washington Post *newspaper* as your scientific source? That's like quoting Cosmopolitan Magazine. All you do is quote someones opinion, not any sort of fact. The video above has Christina Hoff Sommers who has done direct empirical research in this area. Are you questioning her investigative skills? I love how feminism never has any sort of definition of what feminism is. It's BS.
First off, you should actually RESEARCH feminism. Your investigation skills are shotty at best. What you are referring to is the supposed "boy crisis" in schools. What has you, and most people freaked out is that they seem to think that because girls are doing well, boys will do/are doing poorly. This myth has been debunked time and time again. An article appeared in the Washington Post in 2006 stating...
Nice video yet I think you are being far too kind and giving to feminism. There are some deep roots of early feminsim with Marxism with the goal of dividing the family to subordinate to the State. Today's feminism is about pushing outright bigotry, hatred, and discrimination onto men.
The reason that men aren't answering the questions on the interviews is because people would s ' ay that they are 'Women haters' and 'chauvinist' and they would be believed without question because its men answering them.
take fathers for justice, as soon as they protested the ex-wives said that they where alcoholics and abusive and their word was taken as truth without question.
Feminism is not about fairness and equality. It is a movement to advance the interests of women.
With nearly 60% of college enrollment being female, it is time to rollback the affirmative action policies such as SAT gender-norming such that 50% of the enrollees are men. Our sons and daughters should be served equally by the educational system.
The older and more experienced I get the more I realize that most political movements aim at obtaining equal rights and priviledges at first. But when they get established, they start to vie for power and they rarely have no idea of when they've gone too far. That's politics. Feminism is no different than other movements in this way.
"Im sure feminists watching this video will jump for joy."
The radicals might, the ones who believe in sexism against men, but not the REAL feminists. I am a real feminist, and real feminists believe in complete gender equality.
From my perspective, gender shouldn't matter as much as it does. We are all humans, and we deserve the same birth rights. The stereo-typing and the double standards need to stop.
@ImmortalityxInxWords Complete gender equality? LMAO... When there will be the same number of women in the coal mines as there are men, we'll talk about gender equality.
@leostomicek I don't see how that single section of society should define a goal for the future, however, there are gender differences in various jobs, unfortunately.
I am not saying we have complete gender equality, but I am saying that that is what I strive for, as do other real feminists.
I think the main premise of this goal is that people should be able to pursue what they wish (so long as it doesn't hurt anyone), without their gender being a damaging factor; this goes for men and women.
@leostomicek I agree with you. What people have come to know as feminism isn't helpful. However, as I said in the first comment, feminists do not equal feminazis, though those do exist. Real feminists do want equality, and do want the ideal gender system. The radical feminazis that call themselves feminists only harm the cause.
@ImmortalityxInxWords If you want a perfect example of how feminism has gone too far. take a look at the media. examples are,... Homer."idiot" marge, not. look at how men are betrayed as idiots. married with children, raymond, king of queens, There are numerous examples of the "Boobification of men". think of commercials or any venue where it's acceptable for a woman to hit a man. try and think of the opposite. It would never make tv.
@1975overkill another example. I had cancer. I'm cured now and would love to return the favor. unfortunately. I can't find a gender neutral cancer site. It\s all pink ribbons and breast cancer! we are under attack of indiference. we are constantly being beat on in the media. after all, the stereotype is "get over it, be a man".
@1975overkill Then let us take steps in an other direction in terms of the media, and have movements for complete gender equality for men and women. No double standards.
Feminism is still needed in some circumstances, like in countries where women are treated as second-class citizens even now.
I'm not any more happy with the world than you are, but I am an activist for gender equality, for men and women, because in my opinion, we are all humans who deserve the same opportunities.
@ImmortalityxInxWords Respectfully, I must ask you: What has feminism done for men? You say "real" feminists are about equality, but why have they not fought for employment equity vis a vis men in nursing? Why have they not advocated for a Men's Office of Health when men die, on average, 7 years earlier than women? Why have they not demanded to be included in the draft register. Where are the domestic violence shelters for men? All men are *equally* discriminated against? Is that your feminism?
Intellectual Debate?Feminist writings are often misandristic -but that hate is liberation... right? HOW IS FEMINISM WRONG?? Google: Dr. Warren Farrell, Dr. Murray Straus,Dr. Christina Hoff Sommers,Dr. Helen Smith,Dr. Katherine K. Young,Dr. Julia Hislop,Dr. Stephen Baskerville,Carrie L. Lucas,Dr. Donald Dutton,Dr. Martin S. Fiebert. Feminist rebuttle - "ANTI-FEMINIST!!" Brilliant! YouTube: Female Sexual Abuse,TVontario Men Maleness and Equality, Dr. Baskerville War on Fatherhood,Wage Gap Myth
Feminists will regret what they did. At this moment, I'm encouraging every man who had bad experience with women in America to go international dating. When we marry these foreign women at alarming rates while leaving these misandric and selfish women alone, they'll see the error of their ways when they're middle-aged and desperate for a relationship. By then it'll be too late for them.
@BlackHeartMetal666 Feminists in political power and who are lesbians will never learn because they dont want men. The average female who is being suckered into this leftis nutjobbery thinking will regret it when they realize men want younger, fertile women who do not read cosmopolitan or ms magazines and watch lifetime. Men, if she is a left wing, gov is the answer, men are always wrong types, dont mysteriously disappear. Dump her, but let her no you dumped her cuz of her views.
Everyone needs to remember that these are just callsign's opinions on the matter and more people should be viewing it as such. There's nothing wrong with a debate - I view debating as a lost art - however a few people are making things personal or just insulting and that shouldn't be the case. Being hostile towards someone's opinions is completely different that passionately presenting your own held beliefs.
You really think these articles are unbiased? You think that feminists are responsible for boys having bad grades in school? You base your opinion on ONE person's soundbite?
Good fucks sake. Save me the whining. Your ideas are uninformed and immature. How are men's rights infringed upon? Please enlighten me?
maybe the guy in the video should think coherently and you should too, about why some feminists is trying to stop boys from being educated, if the story isn't true, is somehow related to all feminists?
he didn't even go through the article in the video and didn't post the website of the article in the description box.
Well since callsign specifically said that he's only talking about the few feminists that go too far, your argument is invalid. Also, this wasn't a video about the article or some kind of review, it was his thoughts on feminism in general with this article to back up what he was saying.
Ok I can't even understand what you're trying to say with that comment.
Except that last part I kind of understand: I was saying that feminism is a movement based about societies treatment of women, so feminism always involves the society. However I did NOT say society always involves feminism/feminists. I guess using the phrase "hand in hand" wasn't the best choice, my mistake.
wrong, the feminism is the result of a past society's ideals, but the negativity coming from the people complaining about feminism, is not the result of feminism but other elements of society.
some men are complaining that the media through feminism is making men look stupid when it comes to house work and the woman on top...it's because a lot men still don't know how to housework or their own laundry or cook for themselves.
However, you seem to be getting too hotheaded. And you clearly are denying stuff just to stick to a certain schema you have instead of embracing new concepts. Instead of continuing this debate I'm going to end it before things get out of hand.
i been on topic when as it relates to the non-existent proof of feminism do wrong in this video.
he just gave sound bite from a news article and didn't go farther into it and went on a diatribe of his opinion against of feminism w/o giving proof of his theory.
Not even close! I have no idea how you equated being religious with having respect for intelligent conversation instead as opposed to neandertal launguage, but it was a good laugh.
I wish I could but I thumbed you down, even if I could find it I wouldn't be able to get it back because we both know that a post you thumb down,it's a post you can't get back.
Ok, just noticed the option isn't there if the page is refreshed. Oh well. I didn't and wouldn't say that fathers are less important than mothers. If I honestly believed that then why would I deny it now?
Awesome, thanks! Ya know though, there are a ton of really valid arguments for why a father is as important as the mother or why it takes two parents to properly raise a child, the problems our society has incurred because of the lack of fathers presence and so on that would have sounded much better than telling some one to eat shit. Just for future reference.
Yes they are, and not jsut to pay "child support," which is the only hting I hear far too many fems and women bitching about. Explalins why women tell men that single moms are fine, even better, yet still insist on money, though they can "do it on their own." what a joke. good dad=child support. Good mom=anyone who gives birth.
I've never met a woman that didn't wish her child had a father in the flesh. You have obviously never been a single parent. I've also never met anyone that claimed a good mom is anyone who gives birth, that's ridiculous.
ru kidding me? I was 22 and unlmarried, but I never demanded the gov support me, never demanded special privs at work, and I did not blame men and become bitter! I did not go on a woman's revenge kick and demand laws be changed to accomodate my stupidity in choice of sex partners. Get over it! Fems claim they want the gov out of their business and repro health, yet the want constant coddling. You seem like a nice rational person who is just simply over excited about feminism.
Ok first off, you really need to stop claiming you know anything about femism when you obviously don't. Do you know there are at least 7 different feminism movements that all differ from each other? Second, I am not over excited about feminism, I am insulted that because I believe in equal rights, that I'm some nasty, impolite, lesbian who whore's myself out and doesn't want to take responsibility for it. Get over what exactly, because my only issue is misconceptions about feminists.
I have studied feminism since the early nineties, so please dont assume I dont understand it. besides stats and studies, I look around at my friends, my coworkers, etc and I do feel men get a terrible rap and women skate. No, I dont believe you are a whore, a lesbian (I happen to have gay friends), or promiscuous. Just like a single mom who is doing a great job, but at the same time, cannot move on cuz of an experience with an ex. Sometimes men do wrong, sometimes it is women.
Again, not your biz, but since you asked, studied it in women's lib classes I took back in the 90s and have read everything from andera dworking to steinem to more normal fems like Crisitna hoff sommers and paglia, whom the lefties hate.
It is called work and daycare and family care, which I knew I could swing when I MADE THE CHOICE TO PARENT SINGLE! And this was fourteen yrs ago. today, girls get bc everywhere and there is zero excuse for being sexually active without precautions. Men have the option of rubber, but face reality...women bear kids, and decide whether they even want to continue the preg, so spare me the woman forced to motherhood thing. You ame a choice to parent with a deadbeat who is not committed, oh well.
Yep, I work, I use daycare. I do not make enough to pay for daycare and rent let alone food. I require daycare subsidy from the government. I chose to parent with in a marriage that was fine at the time. Obviously, you had a lot more help than you let on.
jets, you have asked me some very personal questions, so it is my turn. Wha made the marriage end? Were you beaten, cheated on, abused, etc? Or did he simply not make you happy? Also, were you a perfect wife and innocent victim or did he go from a gentleman to a total animal? Or, did ya just think he was hot though he was a jerk and married him anyway? Just curious, and I mean no disrespect, but I am wondering if one bad experience wiht a jerk has tainted you forever.
Wow! I have asked you what you studied, and seeing as you seem to think it's so easy to raise a child with out any assistence or mat leave, how you did so. I'm not about to devulge my entire marriage to you for that! Why am I tainted because I believe in equal rights??? How do you keep coming to this conclusion? I have moved on, I am happy now - I still believe in equal rights, lol.!!!
So, you can ask me how I survived being a single mom without gov help and a job, which I did have, you question whether I studied feminism and demanded I tell ya where I studied it, etc. I simply want to know what your ex did that made you only able to see things from the female perspective. I am a woman, and I can see the men's perspective, whilst you pay lip service to the idea. you have lost all crediblity with me, but I do wish you the best of luck with your child. Catfight over.
You have repeatedly claimed I am bitter toward men, am unable to move on, and now I can only see things from a female perspective with out ANY reason. You tell me that and I'll tell again, how my ex decided after the marraige, after the child to berate me in a way I don't think is any of your business and completely exit his parental position.
"Family care", you didn't swing it on your own any more than I have... That's why i say don't you dare judge. Last time I checked, they had birth control 14 years ago. I was on birth control 14 years ago, and it wasn't hard then either.... BUT YES, the rules you spout don't apply to you.....
At about 4min in, I find it funny how I've been dealing with the same situation for the past few years, except in reverse. For a "liberal state" such as NY, I find it funny how even female teachers never came to my defence when I argued passionately in a debate. When a guy in my classes had a counterarguement, I was expected to shut up and accept what he said as truth, even if it wasn't.
Even more irritating, I would say something, and noone would listen to me, or would argue with me, but when a man in the room made the same arguement, everyone immediatly agreed with him, vocalizing their agreement.
I can sympathize with what you're going through, and Ir eally wish it didn't have to be about gender at any rate. Although I must say, most places I've been, it's the guys that have always had advantages over women.
i was one of the 4 guys in my english class, and when we were having a debate, no matter what i did i was either ridiculed or told to sit the fuck down, i mean i don't understand, why..
the teacher said she was a feminist, and i expected that to mean have EQUAL rights to men, not more or less, so why is it that i was told to stay after class that time and clean the boards for yelling, when my opponent (female) was yelling even louder than me.,,,
(conti..) A teacher even came to the class room to check what was wrong when she yelled. so why did i get in trouble?
you know what the teacher told me after? be more respectful towards women. why just because their are women i should respect them?she told me to suck it up like a man. how the HELL does SHE know what it feels to be a man? i felt like crying, i really did! when will these so called feminists realize that men are also getting discriminated against! why should a guy have to........
(conti...) be punished more than a female, if a woman rapes a man much less a child(and this HAS happened...) why does she only get 18 months in jail (and 18 years child support after sueing said child for getting her pregnent...and winning) when a man would most likely get 7 years to life if he raped a women (much worse a child...)!
the truth is people are more willing to believe women, than they are a man in wastern society (including but not limited to canada, most of europe, america...etc)
Yes and men should be "gentlemen." Suggest women also be "ladies" and they will call you a sexist. Me and my husband pray our girl becomes a lady and does not get corrupted by pop culture.
Because when people suggest that some one behaves like a lady, that usually encompasses being quiet, putting on make up, crossing their legs and so on. Being a gentleman usually strickly means being polite. Being polite and respectful to other human beings as an instruction to all I think would be a much more appropriate way of putting it.
No, that is your version and fear talking. I mean maybe not bedding down any guy who hops along like a GGW video just cuz 'the men get away with it." I mean not dresing like a complete whore. I mean not cussing like a truck driver whilst demanding men be perfect gentlemen. You should be able to tell from my posts that i am no quiet lilly, nor is my daughter, who is 13/ You seem to assume that when a woman is anti fem, she is a shrinking violet and that is another reason i dismiss feminism.
No I didn't assure that any anti fem is a shrinking violet. I simply suggested that sometimes, when people suggest that women behave like a lady, that is what is being implied and I'm sorry if you were unaware of that!
No prob, it is just that some women seem to think if you are conservative, or anti modern fem, you must be a wimp, dependent on men for total survival, etc. I raised my girl single and she is pretty damned tough, and we encourage her strenght....whilst also encouraging her to be gracious, to realize teh importance of family, and to not assume men are evil and are always to blame. Some people have strenght due to sheer independence while others use female strenght to keep benefits coming.
Because the two parents are working at diffrent things and ALL serve a great purpose. How is welfare dependence any better than depending on the man you chose to bear children with supporting you and the family, while you, in turn, are also supporting the spouse and kids instead of daycare centers? It is mutual dependency, not one over the other like many of you fems think.
Listen, I'm not belittling housewives, or moreso stay at home parents. I've been one and I believe it's much harder then working, BUT in all reality, you're dependent on your husband finincially. That's it that's all. I understand the mutual dependency, but where does that leave you when or if he decides to exit? You haven't been contributing to a pension all these years! You don't have any seniority or pay raises over the years.
Sad you think parenting your own child is harder than working though both are difficult. Most stay home moms I know will defintiley collect benefits when the sp passes, and if you are in sweden laws may be diffrent. Also, educated women stay home a few years and most women today have supported themselve before marriage and survive. How is it wrong to depend on teh gov and not the spouse? CUz to you, gov is always there as long as there are workers and hubby could die. No way to think.
I didn't say it was wrong to depend on your spouse! I just said that that's what it was! Please pause for a minute before you get so unnecessarily defensive!
Regardless of what you've said about women, this still places them at a disadvantage. Yes a husband could die, and who will be there? The government! But oh no, that would be weak to think like that.
Not changing what you do in a day is harder than changing up what you do. Having multiple roles is statistically healthier for people. It's like doing math all day as opposed to doing some math, then some english. Just to simplify for you.
You are most certainly belittling homemakers, though I have said many good things about working women, such as docs, lawyers, teachers, etc. As far as hubby exiting, again, in the us, most divorce is initiated by women, and men are most likely to commit suicide after divorce. No gaurantees in life whether single or married. Should we not have unwed moms cuz she could get killed and leae the child a legal orphan? that would be as ludicrous as your what if he dies argument. People recover
You are the one who seems shocked I was a singel mom NOT on welfare, so it is you who thinks they cannot make it. As you said before "Dont dare judge me or my subsidies." dont worry, whether we judge or not, you will still get your benefits all the while bitching about how boring being a stay at home parent is. No wonder men dont want to marry anymore.
You've done it! You've completely taken a single mother, and pigion holed me into your stereotype! So I'm screwed if I want to work, and screwed if I don't. OK ..... Yes, I have pointed out the impossibility of your claims. Either you were supported by your extended family, or you were supported by the government (glad you had a family to do so, perhaps you could take in other moms who don't) OR you had a REALLY well paying job day after baby was born to pay for everything. Pretty simple.
I also wasn't bitching, please stop being dramatic I find it funny how you call me hypocritical when you obviously had some help through your single parenthood yet condemn anyone who didn't have that. It's great that you were lucky. Good for you, that isn't always the case for everyone and your adoption story just doesn't jive as ok for me when the child is older when the father/husband decides to exit. I personally think that would be more damaging but, hey, you got it all figured out.
I get it. It is weak to be a housewife when you birth children and have a wonderful man, but noble and "independent" to show your kids it is ok and even your "right" to live off your neighobrs, which is where gov money comes from. I dont judge you for your subsidies and understand that some programs are needed. I do take issue with your callous judgement of women who depend on their families while you admit gov supplements you. What hypocrisy.
I never said it was weak to be a housewife, holy defensive much? I don't think birthing a child is an excuse to sit on one's ass (like office jobs perhaps?) for the rest of their life either, lol. I evern said stay at home parents have a very difficult job... You better not judge me for my subsidies!!! You obviously had some of your own that you're neglecting to mention!

Hey dude I had it out with a man hating hooker (go figure right) I tried being civil with her but she wasn't having any of it and started sending emails and spewing hate speech toward me,she said she wanted honesty so I posted my opinion of her and her profession, she didn't like the facts as I saw them so she blocked me from commenting on her channel but continued to send hate mail, until her channel was removed (she was advising women to sell themselves on the street like she did)
Pfletch83 8 months ago
I was going to read all the comments but I just can't. The problem, to me seems to be that all of this falls under the umbrella term of Feminism. If we really want to step forward in our understanding, then we need to start expanding the term. Time to stop calling people Feminists. It means too many things. And while Machiavelli had some good ideas, people don't generally refer to themselves as Machiavelli'ists because of the negative connotations. I think Feminism is at that point.

(They ask boys more technical q's
sangria82 1 year ago

oORockMyHoleOo 1 year ago
@oORockMyHoleOo [part 1] Call yourself an equalist then. Why is it necessary to invoke the feminine prefix if what FEMinism advocates is "equality for all?" It is NOT. Ten years ago, the NOW homepage expressed its mission statement to include equality for men and women. Not now. Why? Because Feminism has reared its ugly true nature which is the advancement and superiority of women over men. Funny how the definition of feminism changes like the direction of the wind to disguise its true agenda.
CJC1295DAC 1 year ago
@CJC1295DAC Feminism was created by Females, for females during a time that was rougher than things are now. Taking the Fem out of Feminism is like taking the Christ out of Christianity. This is a perfect way to illustrate my point. People can claim to be Christian and not be anything like what a Christian is(ie forgiving, dutiful, respectful towards others) and people can claim to be Feminist and not be anything like a Feminist. :)
oORockMyHoleOo 1 year ago

oORockMyHoleOo 1 year ago
@oORockMyHoleOo Department of Justice statistics, published by the Federal government put incidence of domestic violence at 50/50. Are the CORRECT statistics the ones you yourself cherry pick? Quaint little smiley faces at the end of your posts don't add validity to uncited "sources" that include "relationship websites." @oORockMyHoleOo [part 2] So, "sugar," what has feminism done for men? You say "real" feminists are about equality, but why have they not fought for employment equity vis a vis men in nursing? Why have they not advocated for a Men's Office of Health when men die, on average, 7 years earlier than women? Why have they not demanded to be included in the draft register? Where are the domestic violence shelters for men? All men are *equally* discriminated against? Is that your feminism? :)
CJC1295DAC 1 year ago 3
@CJC1295DAC feminism allows for the banishment of mens masculine ideology as the unwritten rule of the way men should live their lives. Once there are no rules on men or women, then ppl will be allowed to live how they want without having to submit to a "standard" that can be segregating and bias. Male nurses make more money and are rarer, thats societies fault, not feminism. Feminism ensures that there are more opportunities for men to not feel weird to enter into a "feminine" job like nursing.
oORockMyHoleOo 1 year ago

@CJC1295DAC I am a straight male high school science teacher working in a largely female dominated educational system. @oORockMyHoleOo Now you are being obtuse.

Elementary school is more structured than it used to be...boys and girls are expected to sit still and be quiet...some girls can do this better than boys, but I don't think it was raised as a conspiracy to get boys to fail in their education...I think as we become more advanced there is more pressure to be subdued and obtain an education quicker, ignoring the possibility that it could be bad.
compugeek7221 1 year ago
@compugeek7221 That being said...I am considered a feminazi by most people's standards, but I really don't find it fair in general to children to be treated this way. school used to be something you looked forward to (before the pressures in middle school and high school rose and fitting in was a priority), and not something you wanted to avoid. There are some days my boys love going to school, and other days that they hate it. if you don't want to go back what's the use in running it like that?
compugeek7221 1 year ago
@compugeek7221 I see nothing feminazi in your statements thus far and I am an ardent anti-feminist. I agree that the feminisation of education was not a conspiracy to subjugate boys. However, I feel it has failed boys in much the same manner that traditional education methods failed girls. Now is the time for reform in that perhaps we should examine seperate systems for the sexes? We had girls and boys schools in years gone by. Perhaps it is time to return to that system. Feminazi? Not at all.
CJC1295DAC 1 year ago
@CJC1295DAC I completely agree in going back to the system that I as a parent went through in school. I can see the pressures the school system has put on my oldest son just in first grade, and don't look forward to the years to come. They want to put him on meds for adhd, and I'm just not having it, I think he's a perfectly normal child (not that adhd is something "wrong" or abnormal), and I'm not going to have him medicated just because the teachers can't do their job.

fatpizzaman 1 year ago
@fatpizzaman A better new America? Don't you mean a castrated, pussified, nanny-state? Where are these women who desire to walk the streets naked? Let me understand this correctly. You envision an America where women desire (for some sort of, ostensibly, non-sexual reason) to walk around naked without attracting the sexual attention of men? Being faced with T and A, you would like men to be completely unaroused and unresponsive? Why on earth would women want this? How does castration = maturity?
CJC1295DAC 1 year ago
@CJC1295DAC it's been proven in countries where female nudity is more commonplace there are far less sex offences and violence against women, as well as lesser incidents of teen pregnancies and unwanted pregnancies. See the sites gotopless. org and tera. ca for more information. America is still a very sexist and misogynistic country and needs to grow up.

It's BS.
CJC1295DAC 1 year ago
First off, you should actually RESEARCH feminism. Your investigation skills are shotty at best. What you are referring to is the supposed "boy crisis" in schools. What has you, and most people freaked out is that they seem to think that because girls are doing well, boys will do/are doing poorly. This myth has been debunked time and time again.

I am not saying we have complete gender equality, but I am saying that that is what I strive for, as do other real feminists.
I think the main premise of this goal is that people should be able to pursue what they wish (so long as it doesn't hurt anyone), without their gender being a damaging factor; this goes for men and women.
ImmortalityxInxWords 1 year ago
@ImmortalityxInxWords I also think both genders should have the same opportunities and treatment. But I don't think Feminism is helpful...

ImmortalityxInxWords 1 year ago
@ImmortalityxInxWords Respectfully, I must ask you: What has feminism done for men? You say "real" feminists are about equality, but why have they not fought for employment equity vis a vis men in nursing? Why have they not advocated for a Men's Office of Health when men die, on average, 7 years earlier than women? Why have they not demanded to be included in the draft register. Where are the domestic violence shelters for men? All men are *equally* discriminated against? Is that your feminism?

Feminists will regret what they did. At this moment, I'm encouraging every man who had bad experience with women in America to go international dating. When we marry these foreign women at alarming rates while leaving these misandric and selfish women alone, they'll see the error of their ways when they're middle-aged and desperate for a relationship. By then it'll be too late for them.
BlackHeartMetal666 2 years ago

Being hostile towards someone's opinions is completely different that passionately presenting your own held beliefs.

u didn't make any arguments in ur post so there's not much to say...
u just asked questions...
you think blah, YOU THINK BLAH?!?!?

Diana, try asking a coherent question and I'm sure anyone on here, including callsignHUSKER, would be happy to answer.
wearethearchers 2 years ago
maybe the guy in the video should think coherently and you should too, about why some feminists is trying to stop boys from being educated, if the story isn't true, is somehow related to all feminists?
he didn't even go through the article in the video and didn't post the website of the article in the description box.
it could be more to the story...i say it's fake.
FREEAMERICANOW69 2 years ago
Well since callsign specifically said that he's only talking about the few feminists that go too far, your argument is invalid. Also, this wasn't a video about the article or some kind of review, it was his thoughts on feminism in general with this article to back up what he was saying.
wearethearchers 2 years ago
no, he said a few feminist but tied it into feminism in general, so my point is valid...thank you for trying!
he didn't even give a link to the article or talked about what really happen. so we don't know what the article was about and why it happen.
his video is about feminism like every other men's anti-feminism on youtube that has nothing to do with feminism but society.
FREEAMERICANOW69 2 years ago
Because he's rightfully worried that all feminism has the possibility of becoming too radical, which you can't deny that possibility.
I already covered that second argument.
And isn't feminism a female movement based on society? They go hand in hand.
wearethearchers 2 years ago 2
i didn't say that had no right to be worried, i just proof of his thoughts.
no, feminism isn't becoming radical...no one that came across has yet to prove it.
people who say that has problems coming from other men they lost in a pissing contest to or completely bullshit and made up for attention.
you didn't cover shit.
the guy in the video read some shock title but didn't go into the article.
you know that society is based on both sexes, many cultures and ideals.
society, maybe not =feminism
FREEAMERICANOW69 2 years ago
Ok I can't even understand what you're trying to say with that comment.
Except that last part I kind of understand: I was saying that feminism is a movement based about societies treatment of women, so feminism always involves the society. However I did NOT say society always involves feminism/feminists. I guess using the phrase "hand in hand" wasn't the best choice, my mistake.
wearethearchers 2 years ago
wrong, the feminism is the result of a past society's ideals, but the negativity coming from the people complaining about feminism, is not the result of feminism but other elements of society.
some men are complaining that the media through feminism is making men look stupid when it comes to house work and the woman on top...it's because a lot men still don't know how to housework or their own laundry or cook for themselves.
it has nothing to do with feminism.
that's what i'm taking.
FREEAMERICANOW69 2 years ago
However, you seem to be getting too hotheaded. And you clearly are denying stuff just to stick to a certain schema you have instead of embracing new concepts. Instead of continuing this debate I'm going to end it before things get out of hand.
wearethearchers 2 years ago
sorry that's what i'm talking about.
i been on topic when as it relates to the non-existent proof of feminism do wrong in this video.
he just gave sound bite from a news article and didn't go farther into it and went on a diatribe of his opinion against of feminism w/o giving proof of his theory.
it's his video and his right to be wrong.
and how was i being hotheaded?

Awesome, thanks! Ya know though, there are a ton of really valid arguments for why a father is as important as the mother or why it takes two parents to properly raise a child, the problems our society has incurred because of the lack of fathers presence and so on that would have sounded much better than telling some one to eat shit. Just for future reference.
jetsundolma1 2 years ago
yes I know, you're right,I just can't control myself when someone says that fathers are not important.
othsma 2 years ago
Yes they are, and not jsut to pay "child support," which is the only hting I hear far too many fems and women bitching about. Explalins why women tell men that single moms are fine, even better, yet still insist on money, though they can "do it on their own." what a joke. good dad=child support. Good mom=anyone who gives birth.
da1073 1 year ago
I've never met a woman that didn't wish her child had a father in the flesh. You have obviously never been a single parent. I've also never met anyone that claimed a good mom is anyone who gives birth, that's ridiculous.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
ru kidding me? I was 22 and unlmarried, but I never demanded the gov support me, never demanded special privs at work, and I did not blame men and become bitter! I did not go on a woman's revenge kick and demand laws be changed to accomodate my stupidity in choice of sex partners. Get over it! Fems claim they want the gov out of their business and repro health, yet the want constant coddling. You seem like a nice rational person who is just simply over excited about feminism.
da1073 1 year ago
Ok first off, you really need to stop claiming you know anything about femism when you obviously don't. Do you know there are at least 7 different feminism movements that all differ from each other? Second, I am not over excited about feminism, I am insulted that because I believe in equal rights, that I'm some nasty, impolite, lesbian who whore's myself out and doesn't want to take responsibility for it. Get over what exactly, because my only issue is misconceptions about feminists.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
I have studied feminism since the early nineties, so please dont assume I dont understand it. besides stats and studies, I look around at my friends, my coworkers, etc and I do feel men get a terrible rap and women skate. No, I dont believe you are a whore, a lesbian (I happen to have gay friends), or promiscuous. Just like a single mom who is doing a great job, but at the same time, cannot move on cuz of an experience with an ex. Sometimes men do wrong, sometimes it is women.
da1073 1 year ago
I can't move on? Where does that come from???!!!
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
I'm sorry, I can't believe you've studied feminism. At least not in an acedemic, unbiased manner. Where did you study feminism?
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
Again, not your biz, but since you asked, studied it in women's lib classes I took back in the 90s and have read everything from andera dworking to steinem to more normal fems like Crisitna hoff sommers and paglia, whom the lefties hate.
da1073 1 year ago
Then where do you get off suggesting that JUST because some one is a feminist they are bitter and hate men?
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
Now how exactly did you raise a child then with out any help or jobincome at all? No mat leave, no government assistence?
Also, news flash, not all feminists are bitter man haters!
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
It is called work and daycare and family care, which I knew I could swing when I MADE THE CHOICE TO PARENT SINGLE! And this was fourteen yrs ago. today, girls get bc everywhere and there is zero excuse for being sexually active without precautions. Men have the option of rubber, but face reality...women bear kids, and decide whether they even want to continue the preg, so spare me the woman forced to motherhood thing. You ame a choice to parent with a deadbeat who is not committed, oh well.
da1073 1 year ago
Yep, I work, I use daycare. I do not make enough to pay for daycare and rent let alone food. I require daycare subsidy from the government. I chose to parent with in a marriage that was fine at the time. Obviously, you had a lot more help than you let on.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
jets, you have asked me some very personal questions, so it is my turn. Just curious, and I mean no disrespect, but I am wondering if one bad experience wiht a jerk has tainted you forever.
da1073 1 year ago
I have moved on, I am happy now - I still believe in equal rights, lol.!!!
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
So, you can ask me how I survived being a single mom without gov help and a job, which I did have, you question whether I studied feminism and demanded I tell ya where I studied it, etc. I simply want to know what your ex did that made you only able to see things from the female perspective. I am a woman, and I can see the men's perspective, whilst you pay lip service to the idea. you have lost all crediblity with me, but I do wish you the best of luck with your child. Catfight over.
da1073 1 year ago
You have repeatedly claimed I am bitter toward men, am unable to move on, and now I can only see things from a female perspective with out ANY reason. You tell me that and I'll tell again, how my ex decided after the marraige, after the child to berate me in a way I don't think is any of your business and completely exit his parental position.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
"Family care", you didn't swing it on your own any more than I have... That's why i say don't you dare judge. Last time I checked, they had birth control 14 years ago. I was on birth control 14 years ago, and it wasn't hard then either.... BUT YES, the rules you spout don't apply to you.....
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
At about 4min in, I find it funny how I've been dealing with the same situation for the past few years, except in reverse. For a "liberal state" such as NY, I find it funny how even female teachers never came to my defence when I argued passionately in a debate. When a guy in my classes had a counterarguement, I was expected to shut up and accept what he said as truth, even if it wasn't.
DarkAngel0125 2 years ago
Even more irritating, I would say something, and noone would listen to me, or would argue with me, but when a man in the room made the same arguement, everyone immediatly agreed with him, vocalizing their agreement.
I can sympathize with what you're going through, and Ir eally wish it didn't have to be about gender at any rate. Although I must say, most places I've been, it's the guys that have always had advantages over women.
DarkAngel0125 2 years ago
reverse for me, actually,
i was one of the 4 guys in my english class, and when we were having a debate, no matter what i did i was either ridiculed or told to sit the fuck down, i mean i don't understand, why..
the teacher said she was a feminist, and i expected that to mean have EQUAL rights to men, not more or less, so why is it that i was told to stay after class that time and clean the boards for yelling, when my opponent (female) was yelling even louder than me.,,,
helix4811 2 years ago
(conti..) A teacher even came to the class room to check what was wrong when she yelled. so why did i get in trouble?
you know what the teacher told me after? be more respectful towards women. why just because their are women i should respect them?she told me to suck it up like a man. how the HELL does SHE know what it feels to be a man? i felt like crying, i really did! when will these so called feminists realize that men are also getting discriminated against! why should a guy have to........
helix4811 2 years ago
(conti...) be punished more than a female, if a woman rapes a man much less a child(and this HAS happened...) why does she only get 18 months in jail (and 18 years child support after sueing said child for getting her pregnent...and winning) when a man would most likely get 7 years to life if he raped a women (much worse a child...)!
the truth is people are more willing to believe women, than they are a man in wastern society (including but not limited to canada, most of europe, america...etc)
helix4811 2 years ago
Yes and men should be "gentlemen." Suggest women also be "ladies" and they will call you a sexist. Me and my husband pray our girl becomes a lady and does not get corrupted by pop culture.
da1073 1 year ago
wish you the best of luck, with today's media, it'll be hard to keep her a "lady..." no offense, its a fact...
helix4811 1 year ago
True, and sad.
da1073 1 year ago
Because when people suggest that some one behaves like a lady, that usually encompasses being quiet, putting on make up, crossing their legs and so on. Being a gentleman usually strickly means being polite. Being polite and respectful to other human beings as an instruction to all I think would be a much more appropriate way of putting it.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
No, that is your version and fear talking. I mean maybe not bedding down any guy who hops along like a GGW video just cuz 'the men get away with it." I mean not dresing like a complete whore. I mean not cussing like a truck driver whilst demanding men be perfect gentlemen. You should be able to tell from my posts that i am no quiet lilly, nor is my daughter, who is 13/ You seem to assume that when a woman is anti fem, she is a shrinking violet and that is another reason i dismiss feminism.
da1073 1 year ago
My version is somehow less then your version?
No I didn't assure that any anti fem is a shrinking violet. I simply suggested that sometimes, when people suggest that women behave like a lady, that is what is being implied and I'm sorry if you were unaware of that!
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
No prob, it is just that some women seem to think if you are conservative, or anti modern fem, you must be a wimp, dependent on men for total survival, etc. I raised my girl single and she is pretty damned tough, and we encourage her strenght....whilst also encouraging her to be gracious, to realize teh importance of family, and to not assume men are evil and are always to blame. Some people have strenght due to sheer independence while others use female strenght to keep benefits coming.
da1073 1 year ago
How is being a housewife not being dependent on a man?
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
Because the two parents are working at diffrent things and ALL serve a great purpose. How is welfare dependence any better than depending on the man you chose to bear children with supporting you and the family, while you, in turn, are also supporting the spouse and kids instead of daycare centers? It is mutual dependency, not one over the other like many of you fems think.
da1073 1 year ago
Listen, I'm not belittling housewives, or moreso stay at home parents. I've been one and I believe it's much harder then working, BUT in all reality, you're dependent on your husband finincially. That's it that's all. I understand the mutual dependency, but where does that leave you when or if he decides to exit? You haven't been contributing to a pension all these years! You don't have any seniority or pay raises over the years.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
Sad you think parenting your own child is harder than working though both are difficult. Most stay home moms I know will defintiley collect benefits when the sp passes, and if you are in sweden laws may be diffrent. Also, educated women stay home a few years and most women today have supported themselve before marriage and survive. How is it wrong to depend on teh gov and not the spouse? CUz to you, gov is always there as long as there are workers and hubby could die. No way to think.
da1073 1 year ago
I didn't say it was wrong to depend on your spouse! I just said that that's what it was! Please pause for a minute before you get so unnecessarily defensive!
Regardless of what you've said about women, this still places them at a disadvantage. Yes a husband could die, and who will be there? The government! But oh no, that would be weak to think like that.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
Not changing what you do in a day is harder than changing up what you do. Having multiple roles is statistically healthier for people. It's like doing math all day as opposed to doing some math, then some english. Just to simplify for you.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
You are most certainly belittling homemakers, though I have said many good things about working women, such as docs, lawyers, teachers, etc. As far as hubby exiting, again, in the us, most divorce is initiated by women, and men are most likely to commit suicide after divorce. No gaurantees in life whether single or married. Should we not have unwed moms cuz she could get killed and leae the child a legal orphan? that would be as ludicrous as your what if he dies argument. People recover

jetsundolma1 1 year ago
You are the one who seems shocked I was a singel mom NOT on welfare, so it is you who thinks they cannot make it. As you said before "Dont dare judge me or my subsidies." dont worry, whether we judge or not, you will still get your benefits all the while bitching about how boring being a stay at home parent is. No wonder men dont want to marry anymore.
da1073 1 year ago
You've done it! You've completely taken a single mother, and pigion holed me into your stereotype! So I'm screwed if I want to work, and screwed if I don't. OK ..... Yes, I have pointed out the impossibility of your claims. Either you were supported by your extended family, or you were supported by the government (glad you had a family to do so, perhaps you could take in other moms who don't) OR you had a REALLY well paying job day after baby was born to pay for everything. Pretty simple.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
PS, women don't want to marry either! I love the assumptions you make from a very niave POV.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
I also wasn't bitching, please stop being dramatic I find it funny how you call me hypocritical when you obviously had some help through your single parenthood yet condemn anyone who didn't have that. It's great that you were lucky. Good for you, that isn't always the case for everyone and your adoption story just doesn't jive as ok for me when the child is older when the father/husband decides to exit. I personally think that would be more damaging but, hey, you got it all figured out.
jetsundolma1 1 year ago
What hypocrisy.
da1073 1 year ago
I never said it was weak to be a housewife, holy defensive much? I don't think birthing a child is an excuse to sit on one's ass (like office jobs perhaps?) for the rest of their life either, lol. I evern said stay at home parents have a very difficult job... You better not judge me for my subsidies!!! You obviously had some of your own that you're neglecting to mention!
