I've just watched all six episodes of this show and I find it brilliant. I don't understand all the negative reviews it received in the press when it was first shown on tv.

of the quite sophisticated sense of humour,which isn´t appreciated/understood by people.

(being German I can assure you that most people in my country also wouldn´t

like it).In my opinion Mrs.Saunders is getting better and better in her writing all the time,

I have watched a lot of her work since "Girls on top".My favourite series was "Jam & Jerusalem"

so far,which the BBC even cancelled,didn´t they ?

@uwed100 I love "Girls on Top", "French & Saunders", "Ab Fab" and "Jam and Jerusalem" too. I do think that the last series of "J & J" was inferior to the first two, though - it was as if the characters got a little more stereoptyped, as if the typical "Jennifer Saunders rant" was given to ALL the characters at random, which didn't seem quite realistic. But I agree that she's a great writer and I also like her rather personal acting style!!! :)

The theme is so obvious, and they create a real rotten tv'sworld : obsession of existence, money, ...So many time approched, but this is different, this is so niggling and pervert, and the acting is perfect.

Wow, Miranda Richardson is great in this. Before this I'd only ever seen her play Queenie in Blackadder; I'm amazed she could play such a completely different character so well. Jen's great too obviously; good show, funny I never heard about it when it came out.

What I find most interesting about Jen, is that she can portray so many different people and still remain unrecognizable. She just has such a beautiful face, yet she can transform herself with makeup and personality. There are very few women in comedy that have that ability. I'd say she's a keeper. Well, OK, no Sh*t Sherlock.

My husband and I admire the talent of this woman. Love Ade, as well, and adore Frenchie. No wonder they love and trust each other after all of these years.
