If he can't protect the country, then who can ? Bush ? Yes the government bureaucracy screwed up majorly and I hope he takes decisive action on putting the right people in charge and holding those in the government who FAILED responsible. As for economy, may I remind you that the economic crisis happenwd BEFORE he was inaugurated. Lehman Brothers, AIG and the plunging of the market all happened in 2008, after 8 years of Bushes tax cuts and de-regulation.

That is not to say that only Bush is responsible for the economic crisis, since the root causes can be traced back to Reagan, and yes Clinton who also helped with de-regulation of the market.

I completely agree with putting the pressure on government to keep us safe. Maybe we should take a billion dollars away from AIG and Goldman Sachs and use that money to hire competent airport security and air marshals. There plenty of room for discussion on how to improve security and prevent attacks.
