That flooring is beautiful. The mix of light and dark wood. My dojo's floor is in dire need of repair, so I've come to appreciate nice parquetry.

No! Hitting the ground with his shinai is not intentional movement or it may be his bad habit. There is no rule at all to hit the ground in Kendo.

The chuken of Hokkaido is named Eiga,true. And from the sound of yelling, the style of supressing opponent's sword, and the way of moving, I think this is THE Eiga sensei.

No, two competitions are different.Kokutai is held in a different prefecture every year.
