I like some of the alternate lyrics Panther sings live that are different from the studio version.
What all is he saying? '' So kiss me fast there’s no time to lose, I swear that some day I’ll come back for you, if I die tonight it’ll be doing what we think is right. '' or something to that extent.
With 'Silent Running' as an intro to Breaking Out, I got goosebumps and chills. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, The Protomen are probably one of the best widely unknown bands of this decade, if not the past 20 years.
Their cover of Silent Running is beautiful... I actually like it better than the M&tM version. They should do a full version of it, perhaps as a digital demo like Beards Going Nowhere or as a bonus track in Act III
when i first saw this song preformed live it replaced the opening from 'silent running' with kilroy taking center stage and setting the tempo by beating his palm against his chest to the heartbeat sounding bass drum beat before the piano kicked in. the entire band started to do the same (minus barber who was playing at the time) as did the audience. for the whole song, the audience did the heartbeat. really made the song for me. the sound of that 'thump thump' from the audience was haunting.
@chopsie01 i think you're actually referring to keep quiet cause when i saw them they did the exact same thing but for keep quiet. i dunno though they may have switched it up. either way it was still freaking brilliant
@theredmenace07 absolutely sure it was breakin out. it was before they were even playing keep quiet. i bet keep quiet would be cool with that added tho.
I wish they released a studio version of the Silent Running/Breaking Out mix.

@Guard4Product apparently it's 'if I die tonight don't blame yourself we all do what we think is right.' according to tvtropes

I agree with however many people have said it before, their cover of Silent Running is leagues better than the original, and it's perfect for Joe

Act II is gonna be the greatest thing ever. Now hopefully they'll come somewhere closer than three hours away from me when they resume touring.
