Watched this film last night on bbc, usually I can't be arsed sitting down for 2 hrs watching a film b/c I get bored too quickly hence not a big movie fan, this was great, thoroughly enjoyed it

Just watched this. It does make a powerful statement. Although since most of us are aware of similar activities and have seen crimes like these in our own country it's not as much of a big eye opener as it's supposed to be. Plus the statement about deromanticizing The Godfather series, well, that was about another time and different classes of people. There's more trashy dirty drug dealer types around now. We knew that already. That gets romanticized too as we are all well aware.
This is without a doubt the best film trailer ever edited and pieced together. It's what made me want to watch the movie. All 3 long, almost exhausting hours of it.
At the end of watching it, I was so goddamn confused, and yet I still felt like I had watched one of the best movies of the last 10 years. Seriously.
this movie shows how high upp the maffia is in Napule its not only the street thugs standing in corners and selling drugs it goes all the way to the politician and big corporation the maffia is everywere and will stay everywere .They worked to long and hard to be knocked down
This movie is incredible. Don't be put off by the opening scene, it's too much too fast I think, but I'm getting older. Beyond that, it's brilliant.. the film making, story lines, acting, it's a near perfect film.
I have to disagree with you my friend! I was looking forward to this film for ages and was very dissapointed when I saw it. I thought it was incredibly slow and I had no idea what was going on half the time. It was gritty and very realistic which i respect and the actors were casted well but i just didnt really get it. It wasnt the amazing mafia film everyone was talking about! Maybe i need to watch it again?
is not the usual amzing mafia movie, that depict mafiosi with a romance side, as like people want to see, gomorra is more a documentary that describes what really happens in mafia system, watch it with this approach.
You dont know where they're, you dont know where mafia is, but it's all around you, in all countries, towns, everywhere, you're not sure because if they dont kill you they kill the economy of your country, pay attention...

what a magnificent film! I think it is the best movie I have seen in a long time and it has been underrated. I wonder if it will in play in a wide release. Meanwhile there are way to many films out that are winning Golden Globes that are way overrated!
