Not one can trace its history back before 1500 A.D.. There are no genuine historical documents that any one of them can find to "prove" that their origins are any older. By the time the first one came into existence, the Catholic Church was already approaching 1500 years of age.

Please take a moment to think about the Jews of, and slightly before Jesus's time. They did not recognize him as the son of God and seeked his death. The problem is the without the OT we would have had no way to identify Jesus in the first place. Much of the NT can be reference in the OT. This is a major problem and belief that just creates more and more problems.

The scriptures that were considered holy were compiled by the Jews of the time and it was a common understanding as to what was considered holy and what wasn't (the Apocryphal texts were NOT included). @truthfulreply I'm not claiming that these books are completely false. I am claiming that those apocryphal books have no "doctrinal" value, as your highly regarded Jerome has even claimed himself. Not only were these books disregarded by the religious authorities at the time of writing, but the authors themselves even lacked confidence in them.

In order for Catholicism to be made righteous, God's word must be twisted and modified to such an extent that it is no longer genuine. The way yours is listed, 9 and 10 are combined, whereas the Church has them listed separately and your 1 and 2 combined. The commandments are the same. There are the same number of words. Not one can trace its history back before 1500 A.D.. There are no genuine historical documents that any one of them can find to "prove" that their origins are any older. By the time the first one came into existence, the Catholic Church was already approaching 1500 years of age.
However, all of them can only trace their heritage back to a mere human person founder, and never back to Jesus Christ.

@truthfulreply As we have seen the Bible, giving religious authority to men does nothing but skew the truth and leads to the deaths of the innocent. Please take a moment to think about the Jews of, and slightly before Jesus's time. They did not recognize him as the son of God and seeked his death. In summary we can conclude that the Catholic religion does not have any biblical support, as I have been enticed to find proof in many other non biblical writings as well as wikipedia.

@truthfulreply we can also conclude that in order to gain belief in the Catholic faith, you must denounce the old testament. The problem is the without the OT we would have had no way to identify Jesus in the first place. Much of the NT can be reference in the OT. This is a major problem and belief that just creates more and more problems.

The scriptures that were considered holy were compiled by the Jews of the time and it was a common understanding as to what was considered holy and what wasn't (the Apocryphal texts were NOT included). The Catholic church compiled a Bible by combining The Holy Bible (canonical) and the Apocryphal texts. Not only were these books disregarded by the religious authorities at the time of writing, but the authors themselves even lacked confidence in them.

@truthfulreply you are more than wrong, the other denominations that keep Sunday Sabbath are only following the Catholic church, as is plainly described in revelation. the bible never says celebrate Sunday as Sabbath. The old covenant refers to the need to sacrifice a lamb and the other rituals that follow. The new covenant permits the absence of these traditions because Jesus presented himself as the sacrifice needed to wipe all sin, this in no way denounces the Old Testement

Tell me where the numbering of the commandments is such that you have it correct. I do not recall the numbering of the commandments listed. The way yours is listed, 9 and 10 are combined, whereas the Church has them listed separately and your 1 and 2 combined. The commandments are the same. There are the same number of words. The same commandments. Different numbering.

@Efrasios You are right-they haven't an inkling of where their church began-little do they know their roots all began ~480 yrs ago with their Protestant hero Martin Luther-who rejected our Catholic Church -which was the ONLY Christian church in existance up until 1520 AD. They don't realixe the Catholic Church compiled our bible & Martin Luther removed 7 Catholic doctrinal books from OUR BOOK THE BIBLE.
Then they proceed to call the catholic Church unbiblical-they need a serious history lesson.

@truthfulreply WOW! if the apocrypha was truly inspired, then the Catholic Church removed 3 books of the Bible. There are more than 7 books of the apocrypha, some of them weren't in the Bible. In reality those 7 books have no place in the Bible. When you say the Catholics compiled the Bible, you mean that the Catholics took what was the Bible and added those 7 books of the Apocrypha... be clear and stop deceiving people.
