you're covers are great thanks :D hahha... can you pleeeease cover one thing remains by jesus culture pleeeeease ! im in a worship band and we want to cover it please :)
@schunful — I tabbed out the bass-line for "Reaching For You," by Lincoln Brewster. I included a picture of the tab in the description for this video. (Look for the part beginning w/ @schunful). The song has many gradations w/ tricky timing that can lean on a beat or two before the expected change; also there are some that have a specific number of hits that would seem random until you learned them, which will for me take a while. All in all, it's a rocking, quirky song. Pray I learn it soon!
@semiaazul — I just saw that I missed showing some of the tabs on this song. I hope to find my identity ASAP. haha. "I Will Rise" is from 2008. I did "God Of This City," because I have to know it for my church. I made an exception for that song. Contrariwise, I won't do "I Will Rise," because it is not new. Do you know any good, new, epic songs? Thank you very much for your prayer! Keep praying for me! I need it so much!
hi your great and im happy that you are sharing music that is of God. Also i wanted to request a song .
I will rise by Chris Tomlin - i know You will do great on it and keep the amazing vids coming. Stay strong Finding our identity in God is not going to be easy but Your identity is there ..... You will be happy with who You will find you are. Ill pray for you ;) You shall rise and all shall be added on to You ... specially when nothing goes right in our lives <3 & peace
This sounds good!! This is one of my favorite songs. Bluetree's version is pretty cool too... well, they're the original writers of the song. :)
Hey, this is Ben Mullins. I think I sent you a message on musicianmatch. I would also be cartoonistmusician. Thought I'd come by and comment on your video. :)
@kyle101332 — Yes! My next video is going to be hard. I am halfway through tabbing the song. Pray for me with that song! I resent the bassist from the band that wrote the song. He just *has* to throw in a bunch of extra notes! Grrrrrr.
@rodwyr — You should get a person at your church to help you with it then! There are always people able-bodied to help in nearly all areas where one would require assistance!
Well, I would, but the only camera I have is one on my phone, so I doubt it would make one long enough. Plus, I've never made a video before, anyway, so I'm not sure how. Never had a camera, not even a webcam.
@rodwyr — Ok. You should experiment with having a click track / sample. You run the click track in one ear and the sample in the other. The drummer gets the click, and the house gets the sample. It could sound more professional, and with the more pro-sound, you could help other churches by selling or giving it to them.
My looper (JamMan Solo) doesn't have a rhythm out option. The Stereo and Delay models do, but I could only afford the Solo with the Christmas money I got this year. I would have rather had the Stereo, obviously, but couldn't. I do eventually want to get recording equipment, but with the looper pedal, I won't feel like I'm in a rush to get it right now. The looper was just a more cost effective solution for what I wanted to do.
@flashvidnet — I don't like to call things anointed, but I trust that it's good, because I've heard a few tracks from it. It is slobbering, though. Did you notice that it's a little too personalized. The speeches during some songs make it hard to re-listen to the music, because they lose meaning after so many replays. Lose-lose. I love Jesus Culture's bass player!
@rodwyr — As far as things' level with my life, it is what it is. Of course I don't like "it." You pre-record guitar and bass parts for click-tracked songs? You could prolly sell those online. Seriously, other churches would pay money for those. My church buys backing samples that include little bits of guitar and synth and otherly pads. Seriously, monetize your loops!
Yeah, but they go into a looper pedal, not a DAW like GarageBand, Logic, ProTools, or anything like that. I'm really just trying to fill in the holes that we have. It's not like it sounds professionally done or anything. Just straight playing...no EQ, compression, limiting, nothing like that. But the pedal does have a rhythm guide so I can play to a beat. Unless I just want to create something to jam to, I always play to a tempo.
@rodwyr — I felt out of tune too, but my tuner said that I was in tune. I mean, I was in tune if I left the note to ring out. It was initially out of tune, but guitars are always like that I think. I think I am going to cover a Chris August song next. How are you?
Yeah...part of me was kinda wondering about that. Even a high action wouldn't pull the note that sharp. Usually, when I tune my guitar, I usually pluck the string and let it ring out a second before actually tuning it so the string can have the change to get to pitch. I still to this day, even after tuning with a tuner, strum a quick chord to be sure all the strings are in tune (comes with years of doing it). But, anyway, can't complain...(cont'd)
(cont'd)...Spent several hours trying to lay down some layers on my looper pedal for some new stuff we'll be doing this year (hopefully!) at my church. Trying to lay down a bass line and rhythm guitar line, at least. Will want to add more layers, like string sounds and stuff later, when I can afford to get an SDHC card. No job right now, so can't afford the wants right now. How's life in your side of the world?
@schunful — I think Chris Tomlin did an admirable job making the song rockin', but that chorus is 1990's-cheesy. When I've heard it at church, it sounds even worse. What other songs do you like?

Well, done, but that low F note sounds a little sharp. The Low G note, not quite as much, but still a good job nonetheless.
