  • You have no idea how hard it was not to keep from laughing out loud in a quiet library while I watched this. I loved the sith lord humor and the touching parts were perfectly warm and fuzzy. Very nicely done!

  • @jedichick77 Hahahaha! Thanks, i'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish I still had Adobe After Effects, I would totally make more Star Wars vids

  • @Kachukeland Wow, really? You could've fooled me, some people can't manage to do the work right with Adobe After Effects. What program did you use? Let me know when you do make more, cuz I'll be watching them. ;)

  • @jedichick77 like i said, I used Adobe After Effects. But, that was on the college computer. All my star wars effects videos were done when I was in college. AE costs a good chunk of change, so I don't think I'll be buying it any time soon, lol.

  • rilly I made a star wars vid when I was 9. Know Im 13 and im don with that stuf. I kant buleev you giys made this how old ar you 25. grow up but hey if its your hobby stik with it so far your doing rilly good so stik with it.

  • @sodipopdangstar you mean, once a person reaches the age of 13, they're no longer aloud to have fun playing with lightsabers? That's lame, I protest! Everyone, listen to me! You don't have to quit playing with lightsabers, EVER! Don't quit just because someone says you're too old!

    ;)

  • this is awesome and funny.

  • Wow, guys. This was a lot of fun. Good job. :)

  • LMAO that kicked the inside of my asshole. Well done lads ...

  • this was so good, id add light flashes when sabers clash

  • @LewisBelgum yeah, this was my first Star Wars project, and I was still learning AfterEffects. The clashes need flashes, and the ground needs scorch marks sometimes, and the lightning needs improvement. Thank for watching, and for you comment :)

  • Faggets

  • did u use any presets?

  • @geekerdoerick not for the lightsabers, I rotoscoped them frame by frame. But the lightning, done by Travis (Rudrose in the video,) was a preset in AE

  • Any video with travis is good. hes the man!

  • @scorpin969 Thanks man. I appreciate that. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • does anyone else think the way he holds the lightsaber at 1:24 looks wrong

  • I grow tired of this, Wheel of fortune's almost on!!!!!!

  • Wow, that was awesome! I wander why Luke, Yoda and Obi-Wan are the only ones who can face a sith all by himself...

  • HAHAHA this was delightful! =D

  • Well done....that was awesome! The action was cool and it is nice to see people go beyond just effects and let the effects help tell the story rather than be the story. Kudos!!

    Cheers!!

    Thanks for putting it up.

  • @Kachukeland Well good! I can't wait!

  • Well it's DEFINITELY one of the better ones cuz the saber's stay very still on the handles-not much shifting.

  • @GoPatriots100 Well, thanks! Later I learned to add a slight flicker to the brightness of the saber, as well as a few other tweaks. I hope to make another vid soon.

  • Wow I'm suprised I haven't found this before-this is some of the best rotoscoping I've seen, even better than maybe RvD

  • @GoPatriots100 LOL thanks! I don't think its better than RvD, because there is no flash or lens flare when the sabers collide, and the lightning is pretty cartoony... Check out some of my other lightsaber vids, I've done much better rotoscoping and effects.

  • o no he didnt

  • haha that was absolutely awesome. loved the emperor pojo. haha awesome video guys well done :)

  • at 5:50, what's the name of the song?

  • the yellow one looked like he was used to beating her.

    ^-^

  • Soo funny and soo nice done! Great work!

  • Very welll done!

i am quite impressed with the light saber battles and the effects.. the whole thing was done very well

    i enjoyed it :)

  • lol you are funny, this was well done! :-D

  • Yeah, that was funny, but on top of that... quite nice choreography!

  • I use the sucky program called Adobe Premie Elements 4.0 D= the swords isn't good at all and the lightning isn't that good either D=

  • Nice vid and effects guys!

Btw, making my own Star Wars-movie in school as an artprojekt and need some cool effects, like yours, so can you please tell me where i can get them?

  • we used a program called Adobe After Effects. It's pretty expensive, and our school had it on their computers (iMac). See if your school has any editing/effects programs

  • This is going to sound totally gay, but for a second there I thought Allura and one of the Jedi were played by the same...man. *hides his face in shame*

  • And now I see I have also misspelled Aloura. What a double fail. Anyway, I liked this a lot and it would be great to have a prequel to this ( Yeah, I know, SW prequels are usually bad things ), to learn about the characters more.

  • EXCELLENT WORK!!!!!

Not only giving you guys 5 stars but also adding it to my favorites!!!

    Very cool , guys!

    :)

  • thanks for watching my vids! If you go to my channel, theres a playlist of all my star wars stuff, if you're interested.

  • ROFL! 5:23

  • Love the ending credits.

  • how did you do the lightsabers

  • Great fight scenes and effects

  • pretty lame, but good effects!

  • DUDE I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS!!!

  • i loled at the lego part.

    lego =D

  • terrific effects! And the fight choreography is great!

  • hang self

  • that would be a fuckin awesome video if the emperor wasnt that......gay.......

  • I think Noah's performance of Emperor Pojo is what made this video great! Without him, it's just a bunch of kids trying to be cool.

  • amazing plot :D

  • Amazing special effects,

Still want to be a film composer?

  • AWSOMe!!!!

  • at 0:45 & 0:55 the emporers handle changed

  • (5:08) - (5:35) was hilarious. =)

  • not bad all around...a few splashes of humor, decent coreography, impressive special effects. makes me wish my friends and I could make a star wars fanfilm.

  • lol very funni and an amazing vid

  • In one shot, Jessica had just a hilt and she carefully pretended to pull the saber out the ground and I added the blade in editing. Then Travis mimed hitting what blade she would have had.

In the very next shot, Jessica simply threw her saber with one hand and caught it with the other. After editing, it looked like Travis hit her saber and spun it around and she caught it.

Looking back, I wish I'd have known how to make burn marks, because we definitely needed a burn mark on the ground, ect.

  • 4:02 was so awesome! How did you do that?!?

  • That was really cool! :D

  • the moves were impressive ^^

  • Die DIE !!!!oh Why she dont die?

  • AWH! That was so cute and adorable with Alex and Jessica. Sorry for using your real names. I just know you guys better that way from your awesome review on the Deathly Hallows.

  • where do you get the music and sound effects I'd love them for my stop motion movies

  • I got the music from the Star Wars soundtracks, and the sound effects online somewhere (i don't remember where, sorry.)

    Hope that helps ya!

  • You guys did GREAT on the fighting! make more! ;)

  • I love this video so much because it is funny and its star wars. One question, will you be doing more? Because if you do that would be awsome.

  • YES! we will be making a sequel soon, hopefully late this fall.

(it'll be hard to find the time, because we all have classes. But we really want to make another one!)

  • very cool i love that video :)

ˆcopy and paste if kachukeland rulesˆ

  • lol i loved it! im gonna subscribe u all your stuff is great!

  • Love it! Cool acting!

How do you do the lightsaber effect? I'd like to know.

  • we used Adobe After Effects for the light saber effects and the lightning. I found the sound effects online somewhere, i don't remember where.

  • Thanks! =)

I'll go look online for it, then.

  • What, did you use Jedi Knight II for this?

  • lol this looks like so much fun!

  • U bet!

I can't wait to get started on the sequel..

  • ¿¿¿¿ˆcopy and paste if kachukeland rulesˆ¿¿¿¿

  • Awesome! Nice acting too!

  • Great job guys. I miss you (hi Noah, never got to meet you). I will be telling all my Aussie mates to check it out.

  • this is awesome i like how the lightsaber goes though the floor

  • lol force headache

  • this is so underated!! really funny stuff, i dont want your popcorn pew pew lol!

  • How long did it take you guys to choreograph this? It's really good.

  • thanks, we worked hard on this vid. The choreography took about 15-20 hours of work spread out over about a month. Filming took about as long, but done in a matter of days. The hardest part was the editing and special effects, about 50 hours of work in 5 days.

thanks for watching, and i'm glad you liked it. : )

  • It was great, but.. where's tha star wars kid?

  • lol, emperor pojo pwned a lego, w00t. the action sequence was great... u guys did a great job

  • that chick is hot

    and also another classic vid

  • Be careful...that hot chick is my daughter! Heck ya she's "hot" her twin sister too. All of my daughters are thank you very much. But just be careful...parents are reading this too.

  • no offence, but i dont think anybody cares.

  • lol the end was epic. caught me totaly by surpise

  • Its cool how you dimmed the music on some of the parts when you were speaking

  • great movie alex. keep it up

  • Good job, guys! I'm likin' the new spelling for "starring" haha...jk jk...

  • lol yeah, we fixed that for the dvd, but it's wrong in the YouTube version

  • eventually, we hope to do a sequel sometime in the fall. We've thrown around some ideas, but nothing's solid yet.

  • This is cool you guys know how to fight

  • This is very cool, but the yellow lightsaber is able to cut through other lightsabers! She got served at 3:15

  • lol yeah, there's a weird disappeary effect on some of the light sabers. I think I know how to avoid that in the future, though

  • OMG!!! You guys are too cool! maybe next time I can watch you make one of the videos? lol I am officially the biggest fan of this video!
