I just got my Bushman Delta Frost harp in the key of low F. Wow! The thing was only $26 on Musician's Friend (no tax, no shipping) and it's the finest sounding harp that I own. I'm officially done with Hohner. I'm also done with any harp pitched higher than the key of G. I can't wait to get a harmonica mic, so I can play it through my little Fender Champion 600.
@nomoboy ...and, quite to my delight, the reed plates are covered by the lip of the comb (unlike my Hohner Pro MS, Blues Harp MS and Big River MS.) So, I'm not abrading my lips on the protruding metal plates, I get a better "lip seal" (for lack of a better phrase... I think it's called "embouchure???" And best of all, I don't taste the plates!!! I wish that they made these things in other low keys.
Have you ever played one of those Bushman "Soul's Voice" Harps? I'm pretty curious about those
Thanks for coming by! I'm using a Bushman Delta Frost and the song is titled "Love in Vain"
It's an original RJ song, but covered by many... you can find it on any RJ cd He made only about 18 song if I remember well, including 'Sweet Home Chicago', and 'Hellhound On My Trail' (all blues standards)
"Decided to start uploading" That's great news, go for it. Uploading helps you to strive for better playing, it's a great motivator, let me know when you have something up!
Glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by!

That was the first blues song I learned.
And it was thanks to Jon Gindick
You nailed it good.

Love that low harp sound. Nice job, Dutch. What brand of harp is that? And what song?
